Poule au pot

Preparation time: 40 minutes
Cooking time: 120 minutes

  • Ingredients (serves 6):
  • - 1 hen
  • - 800 g of carrots
  • - 300 g turnips
  • - 4 leeks
  • - 1 onion stuck with 2 cloves
  • - Salt and pepper
  • - 1 tablespoon chopped thyme and bay leaf

 

Preparation of the recipe:

Clean all the vegetables, peel.

Put the chicken in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and skim.

Add vegetables (leeks fold in half), the dive onion, herbs, salt and pepper.

Cover and cook 2 to 2 hours 30. The flesh of the chicken must come off.

Service Above defatted broth and meat surrounded by vegetables.

 

Good served with warm bread & a white wine.
