The Old Dungeon’s enormous stone fireplace roared as usual until Maitre Thomas damped it to balance the heat of the accumulating crowd. Almost every seat and cushion was taken and latecomers were left wandering around — an unusual situation for any event.

Maitre René smiles at and look at the packed crowd— “All welcome my Friends to this honored occasion as we elevate Petra to Maitresse de Chateau.”
“Petra has been a long time member here and has helped in many ways in the community. Today we are here to celebrate the dedication of who has achieved her reward having completed a through path from Intern to Maitresse. We have witnessed as she shared the Story of O on numerous occasions, presented workshops, and helped teach others how to role play
“Very few who enters the Dominant Path finishes to this high level Petra has had her ins and outs like most of us here. Some say this builds character and strength.
“We will have special speakers tonight. But first we will open the floor to short comments about our new Maitresse to be.We will use the C, and # format. Speak if you are inspired. We want to be sure everyone has a chance to speak.”

Thomas walks out so I can see everyone, “Chicago, your comment please.”
Chicago smiles to Petra, “Kudos to you Petra! You’re a superb teacher, guide, and most of all, my friend. You’re everything anyone could look for in a mentor. You’ve groomed me to become an effective Dominant, and made working with you an enjoyable and memorable experience. Your demonstrations and workshops are an inspiration and learning experience to us all. I will always be in your debt for your unwavering support and kindness. It would be impossible to count all the ways that you've helped me grasp the spirit of BDSM and find a place here at Roissy. Thank you so very much for all that you've done for me. Trust me - I’ll return the favor sometime in the future. Thanks for being an excellent mentor and for advising me as I travel along my path, and I hope that our Mentor/Mentee relationship will continue. Thomas continues, “Thank you Chicago. Tzeitel, your comment please?”
“Maitresse Petra,” Tzeitel begins, “we have both been at Roissy for a similar amount of time, we've both come and gone and come again. Over the last two plus years I've had some wonderful chats with you, laughed with you, and served you. Every occasion was a pleasure and so much fun. You have enriched my life here at Roissy and out of it, I'm grateful for your guidance, your thoughts and your friendship. Congratulations on your new title, may this journey continue to be promising and I wish you all the best from both myself and my Master, Maitre Dusty.”
“Thank you Tzeitel” and Petra wipes tears which flow freely, and Thomas points to Wick, “Very nice sentiments, Thank you, Tzeitel. Wick, share your thoughts please?”
“When I first met Petra she scared me to death. I thought here is this woman that can kick my behind easily. As I got to know Petra I found out how wonderful she is.. (still scared of her LOL) but you truly are Awesome! Congratulations Petra! You deserve this!” and Petra answers, “too funny thank you Wickster my brother”
“Hello everyone, begins, Calvin, “and a very good afternoon..and congratulations to my amazing mentor. I see a situation that has outlived its vitality and production and install or try a new approach. I would trust this woman with my life. If your her friend you are blessed and if your in her orbit, or part of any system she commands your in good hands. Blessed Roissy Val d’Oise.
Thomas turns to Calvin, “you have had a little too much caffeine I think” but Petra says, “Calvin thank you so much ...I am humbled everyone.”
“Loki, your thoughts, please?”
“When I was new to Roissy I had more than my share of times I questioned my fit her. Petra sat with me for one of them and her discussion with me was probably key to me still being here. Thank you Petra. And she smiles “I’m so glad you are, Loki”
“Venna your comments please.”
“Maitresse Petra! She is the epitome of grace and beauty as well as being a hard task mistress. Her intelligence and diligence to detail whilst helping others knows no bounds. I am honoured to have been here whilst she has followed her path and to be a friend to her. Long may you continue to help Roissy be the place of excellence Maitresse Petra Congratulations! This from my heart and my Master Maitre Chip. Who is standing at the back.” as Chip answers too, “Yes-- ditto.”
“Thank you Venna; you are in mine as well” and Thomas goes on, “Very nice, Venna. Thank you… Ita's, and then Rebecca's comments from Dom will be the last ones.”
“I had the honor to met Mistress Petra when discussing about O's pictures,” Ita declares, “I found a very charming lady who got a little place in my heart that grows with every talk we have. We share the Latin word as that is my origin and she likes that kind of music so we have danced those too. We had a nice chat.... talking and laughing while making some text for her and I found apart being a nice woman, she is intelligent, sensitive with a kind heart. a very nice woman that I am honored to be friends with. Thank you Mistress (for last time, again haha) Petra! Hugs and congratulations !!! and Petra smiles blows her a kiss “Thank you Ita.”
“Eric, sorry I missed your request. Please your comment,”
DJ Eric Balder steps up, “I cannot speak as a Dominant person nor can Aurora speak as a submissive one. But as parents to Petra, i can only say one thing. We are so proud of you. Congratulations from me and mom.” to which Petra responds, “Thank you, Dad and Mom, it means the world that you are here.”
“Thank you Eric. I think..(chuckles), we are left with Rebecca's comment.”
“It is an honor to speak on behalf of my friend, Petra, on this special day. The high quality expected and deserved.” and Petra, smiling, answers “thank you Dom and Rebecca.”
“Thank you Rebecca and Dom, and everyone for your heartfelt sentiments on Petra.
T H E C O N F I R M E N T
Thomas smiles motioning Petra to come over. “Sorry, Thomas, I think I'm a bit nervous. Uummm do I get to open presents now?”
“Only Petra would say that.” and after a few funny comments (Eric: “Runs in the family”) Thomas continues, “Petra, you have my negritude and congratulations for reaching the pinnacle of the Dominant path. From this day forward you are Petra, Maitresse of Roissy Val Oise”
The crowd screams and showers Petra with congratulations for a good three or four minutes.
Crying full out Look at my tag “I’m overcome with emotion bear with me please. Thank you everyone for all your support and acceptance and love”
Rene stands, look at Petra and smile. “Petra, this now your audience, please introduce your speakers as you please
The new Maitresse smiles back “Thank you Maitre René. Life has dealt me many wonderful surprises today, not the least of which is our Maitre Rene's presence......turn to smile at him..."Thank you Maitre; my gratitude to you is boundless,”
She looks out into the crowd, “Well I'm going to have to throw out most of my speech, but I think I can do better. I would like to introduce those who will stand and speak on my behalf and about me smiles. “ a few words about each please.
“There are some very special people whom i must mention or this ceremony would not be complete..Now when it comes to being mentored I have a small story to tell, bear with me, please. About two months ago I felt I was at an impasse in my Path. I couldn't make myself finish my log no matter how much I wanted to or tried. The frustration was intense and I finally decided to approach Maitresse Derry and ask if she would mentor me through this last phase of my training. To my eternal gratitude, she said yes. Now let me tell you something about this woman. She is one powerful Dominant. She used neither intimidation, warnings or dire prognostications to induce me to finish my work. It seems that all she needed to do was ‘be there’ with her great kindness, equanimity and wisdom, and I took off like a rocket..
“I introduce to you with pride and affection my mentor and friend Maitresse Derry. Derry please the floor is yours” smiles

Derry stands with a smile, smoothing the front of her dress, "I'll be very happy to speak about my friend Petra"
“Hello everyone. I'm honored to be here with all of you as we share in this wonderful moment with my sister dominant, Petra. I remember first meeting Petra up on the rooftop at a dance. We were both interns at the time. She made an impression on me then and continued to impress as time went on.
“It seemed as it worked out along our paths that I had a little more time and circumstance to work on things for VdO so I could offer a tip here and there, and also ask Petra if maybe she had an answer I couldn't find. It's always good to have a little help from our friends.
“Her accomplishments here for her path, the many discussions and classes taught, the work in planning of initiations, not to mention Petra's own projects here with the very popular improv sessions and her weekly reading and discussion all serve in painting a picture of involvement and dedication to this family.
“Petra asked me for some thoughts about her path a few months back, ready to finish and gain the title she'd worked to earn. So we had a couple of conversations about what was left to do.
“For me it was light lighting a skyrocket. I'd offer a spark, her fuse got lit and WOOOSH....there she went, another requirement completed.
“Her twisty path at last culminated in a very unique and creative final scene, (in which I had a part), and here we are. So congratulations Maitresse Petra, you did it, and with panache. I'm so very happy for you!” blows you a two handed kiss
“Thank you, my dear friend and mentor, blows a kiss to you in thanks. “And now I would like to introduce someone who has toiled the longest and hardest to see me get to this point today, our wonderful and beautiful Xana.
“I first met Xana when she interviewed me for the submissive Path in 2015. She intimidated the heck out of me. This petite brunette with the soft southern drawl and command of every aspect of what happens on this sim was kind to me and supportive throughout. When I'd leave she'd never exact a penalty but would remain a friend and encourage me to finish what I'd started. Of all the people here at Roissy, poor Xana has had the greatest share of my impetuousness and tempestuous emotions".
Petra turns to look at Xana….”Do you have any idea of how many times you've either had to give me: ‘The Look’, or said, ‘Stop that?’” Laughs “Far too many to remember I should think”
“Xana too agreed to be a part of my final scene and it would not have been the same without her. She took up the task with enthusiasm,., faith in the project, and skill. Thank you my dearest boo. If my award today had been an Oscar, I'd have torn the head off the golden man and shared the honor with you." laughing Thank you Xana for everything for the last nearly FIVE years.” Smiles fondly to her "Xana please the floor is yours”

Xanadu stands and smiles as she moves forward and to the side and looks across the room .. "Maitresse Petra I think you can truly feel the love we all have for you .. and I personally Thank you Maitresse Petra for this honor bestowed upon me . She chews her lip softly .. “hmmm what to say about Maitresse Petra ... Well I'm sure y’all know her .. she’s only been here forever !! " ... smiles to her with a wink then whispered .. wipes your eyes Maitresse.
"On a more serious note .. Maitresse Petra and I have been close during her time here, which started as a Debutante .. as most of us do ... and maybe a surprise to some of y’all. After taking time away and re-evaluating .. she found her comfort area was in Dominance, not submission .. and reapplied to the Dominant path.
"I have promised not the ‘Roast’ her and that i won't do. I will say she is probably one of the truest of friends I have here ... and trust me, ohhhh .. the stories i could tell on her .. but i won't. As many of y’all have seen .. she is a Dominant female. One I will also add ... the other submissives enjoy scening with. Maitresse Petra has a way about her — call it intriguing.. mystifying whatever — but she is truly one of a kind, as you have seen while serving as the mc in Demoiselle initiations.” knits my brows at you, then winks and smiles to her.. as she shares a surprise, “she even plays drums in her free time.”
“Hehe true,” nods Petra
"An insight of Maitresse Petra and her time here .. she has been very supportive of Roissy in many of her endeavors .. she was excellent in overseeing the entertainment here. In the Chateau she leads Improv role play. Many have told me it has been instrumental in their role play here. At one time she promoted the lighter side of role play in the cafe bar area, to help introduce the ins and outs of role play for the interns and debutantes in a more relaxed atmosphere.
"Each role play she has overseen is done with ingenuity ... always making it interesting and educational. Maitresse Petra is a storyteller and her visions are usually theatrical in a scene, always involving the submissive in every instance of the scene .. which is a pleasure to read. I was privileged to be part of her finals along with Maitresse Derry and needless to say .. I was totally NOT obedient .. how fun was this for me !! But i do love her anyway.
"What a pair of Ladies they are .. trust me, they are awesome !!! If y’all haven't .. I do encourage each of y’all to ask them to assist with your logs. When you do .. sit back ... relax and fasten YOUR seat belts for some awesome role play.”
Xanadu turns to her .. “Congratulations Maitresse Petra .. I know you have worked diligently to reach this honored position of Maitresse de Chateau of Roissy ValD'Oise .. x0x .”
(Petra laughing) “You make me sound like a Lamborghini, Xana,” after which Xanadu gives her a respectful sub hug, then returned to her place.
“Thank you, my sweet dear friend,” hugs her “Beautiful words I will cherish.”
“I would now like to introduce my last speaker….”
She next shifts my gaze to Maitre Thomas...."Ah Thomas" soft laugh. "We have had our moments my friend. And I am glad to have had each and every one. We are very different Thomas and I. He being an engineer and having penchant for facts and realism. For myself, I am a dreamer, an efficient well organized dreamer but my preference is for the poetic and symbolic and in the admixture of these very different traits I have sometimes called you a "grump" while you have dubbed me "goodball" Actually I'm kind of touched to have a nickname" laughs "But make no mistake I have learned much from you and look forward to continuing to do so.
"I call you Boss out of respect and not in jest. . I have lived through four Dominant Supervisors at Roissy and none have "gotten me" as you have Thomas. You have given me the opportunity to do many creative things here and in so doing given me your trust and your confidence. These are precious things and I will never take them for granted. Thank you Boss. Boss, the floor is yours pleases.” smiles

Thomas stands and brushes off slacks straightened the creases out, “Thank you Petra. Petra asked me to not roast her in my speech, and I agreed.” and Petra breathes, “Thank God.”
Thomas chuckles, "Of course I would not do that, but it was fun to watch her relief. The point is that there is nothing to roast her about; Petra has been a loyal member of Roissy through good times and bad. She has always upheld the ideals of our community. That's a pretty significant thing in my book
“Petra has always supported the right thing for others at Roissy and for the sim as a whole. She is generous in her donations, which of course is voluntary
“Dominants who understand what the “Doing the right thing” is are to be thought of mature and of the highest level. Petra has attained that level. Integrity and honesty are an integral part of Dominant behavior. Its not enough to go through the path and check off the boxes, the Dominant's reputation and deeds need to follow the creed of the sim and of Dominants everywhere ... Integrity, honesty, and helping others.
“To give us all an appreciation of what Petra has achieved, I will cite from the Maitresse log. This path is for a Master/Mistress to become a Maitre/Maitresse, the individual will be trusted to mentor our Dominants. This individual will always remain available to assist Dom Interns, Dominants, Masters, Dems, Debs or Sisters, to offer an ear to listen or to help them with logs. If advice is asked, this individual will offer such, or point them in a direction to get the best advice possible. The overall reputation of the Man or Woman and how he/she interacts with all of our VDO family and guests will be assessed and considered.
“Petra, you have met that criteria in my view.” and Petra answers, “Thank you Thomas”
He smiles, "Petra knows how picky I am too." to which Petra effuses, “Thank you, dear Boss.”
“My friend René, the floor is yours”

“Thanks my friend,” answers René, but Petra interrupts, “I just have a very few words to say.”
“Yes please Petra.”
“The expression is 'Put your money where your mouth is.' But I talk too much to use that phrase. Instead I prefer to put my money where my actions are and where they are needed. To this end... “ Turns to face Maitre Rene…”Maitre, please accept this donation to the sim as a gesture of my happiness and gratitude on this special day.” and she passes the check to him.
Rene smiles, “ awww Petra.. that's too much… and now I am quiet” smiles
“No not enough, Maitre” smiles
"Happy I was sitting… aww.. Rene try get up.. " Rene turning to the newest Maitresse de Chateau and smiles…"This is your day Petra!"
“yes Maitre, a most wonderful day"
“Raises his glass, “Come everyone and raise your glass with me in congratulating and welcoming her here at Roissy Val d'Oise
She reaches for a flute and raises it along with Maitre René, who exclaims, “It’s time to live up to your success, smile and take a bow! Congratulations our newest Maitresse de Chateau Petra!"
Toasts Sting, “I agree Petra. I think also it is good to let creativity speak and not to veto too easy, trust must also exist between members." And from Petra, “To all of you, To Roissy Val D'Oise.”
Warm congratulatory shouts fill the air, from all corners of the Old Dungeon…
… and from René — “Let us grow as a community as we seek to move forward. My door is always open if you wish to share ideas or just need to talk. In closing, you are all invited to play more active roles. If there is something you can offer the sim, please fill out a notecard and drop in my red mailbox just outside my office so that I can review. We are a family, and we can't do this all ourselves. I am humbled to know each of you and call you each my famille.”
“My heartfelt thanks to all of you you all reside in my heart and I am keeping you there,” Petra says, sipping more champagne.
“The subs are trying to get you drunk, Petra.” Thomas tells her. “oooh that could be fun,” she answers
René sips some wine, thinks a moment, remembering what he wanted to announce, “I am very pleased to announce that Petra has agreed to oversee the Cafe Pub again, bringing life to the light role play that helps out Debutantes and Interns and other member become comfortable with each other."
After the crowd cheers, Petra responds, “Oh Maitre!! Another amazing surprise -- thank you so much I can't wait! When can I start?” laughing
“I thank you for sharing your time and showing your support. I encourage each of us as members to take a look deep inside ourselves, be the example setters for others as we lead and guide, always keeping in mind the closer we bond the stronger we become. No matter what others may try and tear down. ‘Chains of steel will rust with time, chains of the heart will only grow stronger!’”
“Wise words Maitre and so true,” says Petra.
René smiles, and looking at them all "Thank you all for joining us here, to celebrate this special day with Petra. You are all dismissed, Join us in the Ballroom with Essence.”
