The back patio of the Chateau was packed with James' well-wishers, as the Dom Supervisor, Thomas Xue, shushed the last giddy voice and had evryone take a seat.
W E L C O M I N G D O M I N A N T
“Welcome all my friends and a hearty thank you for joining us this autumn morning as we celebrate the perseverance that James has completed his journey and achieved his full Master tag, and now joins the cadre of many fine Masters at Roissy Val D'Oise.
“After applicants receive their Dominant role and begin work on their path task, they seek to learn and complete work quickly. Always eager they are with the lovely submissives at Roissy Val d'Oise. Our Dominants on the path, find others around them, both Dominants and submissives that help teach them the ways of our community from their wealth of wisdom.
At Roissy Val d'Oise, we believe that being a Master of the Chateau is an achievement to be truly earned through hard effort, education and practical experience exercising new concepts. James has worked through his path and has exemplified gentlemanly behavior. while learning Dominant concepts here.
T H E C O N F I R M E N T
Before I turn the floor over to James and his guest speakers, I wish to present his Master ring that has been made for the Masters of Roissy VDO.” Thomas walks forward, "James on behalf of Rene, I give this to you as well as one who now joins the ranks of the Masters of the Chateau.".
James accepts the ring and slides it on my finger, all while thinking back on the many wonderful experiences I have enjoyed to get to this point - smiling sincerely, "Thank you Thomas."
Shaking his hand, Thomas declares, “We are honored to have you in our community as we are with the rest of our family here. I know that you will continue the hard work you have demonstrated so far as you continue this next part of your journey in our community."
James extends my hand and accepts his firmly in gratitude, "Thank you again Thomas."
When I met James and saw his name, I remarked, "Are you Jimmy Stuart or Jimmy Stewart the actor?" James listens and smiles, as Thomas continues, “So on Christmas eve, Remember to tell Clarence the Angel..’you want to live.’ If you are a good man like Jimmy, we will glad to have you"
“Thank you Thomas.”
“With no further delay, James the floor is yours, please introduce your speakers.”
James smiles and clears my throat, "I will first invite my Mentor, Chip Althouse, to say a few words. But before he begins, I want to say a few words about Chip. Throughout my paths, first as Intern, and then Dominant, Chip was always there when I needed clarification and advice. His knowledge and leadership were invaluable, and were certainly most instrumental in the successful completion of my paths. Chip quickly became more than my Mentor, he became my friend, as did his lovely Venna. For this I will always be grateful.”
Venna smiles; James settles back into his chair.
M E N T O R ‘ S S P E E C H
Chip air-toasts James and looks out at the people. “If I had made a list of he pertinent and unexpected questions that James has asked me since I became his mentor in July of this year, the list would stretch from the swimming pool to the ice cream stand here in Roissy Val d’Oise.
“I have had a few good mentees. But James has surpassed them all in so many ways, It’s truly hard to list without going on and on for another three or four hours (and no, I’ll use restraint).
“For one thing, James is a true gentleman. Anyone who’s spoken with him knows this. If he has unpleasant tasks, he faces them --- unlike some mentees I’ve had. He always greets people and wishes them well ... and treats everyone on the sim with respect.
“He is a man who really cares about the sim. Can anyone here state a day or time they’ve come online and James was not somewhere on the sim... either scening, helping a submissive, or organizing his log? I can’t. He’s played with Rosa, his sub, of course, but he’s also scened with many other girls ... which is what we want in a role play sim that enjoys polyamorous relationships.
“His scenes in demoiselle initiations have been some of the best that any Dominant has delivered, with carefully planned scenarios and well-written, sensuously powerful emotes that make the entire audience, not just the new demoiselle, feel aroused and excited.
“As I mentioned earlier, James asks questions. Good ones. Thorough ones. He challenged me as his mentor – to think about what we’re doing and why we’re here. He organizes his thoughts clearly and with persistence. (I’d hate to see his socks drawer; I will guess each pair is divided by color, fabric, pattern, and texture.)
Chuckles from the crowd. “But mostly, James is a born Master. He isn’t here just to get laid now and then, nor to to make funny comments at the dances and disappear later. He really wants to develop the leadership with submissives that real Masters provide, and he’s working hard to learn and grow in that direction.”
Chip turns and shakes James’ hand. “Congratulations, James, on your well-deserved ascension as a Master at Roissy Val d’Oise. You are a great guy and a true friend..”
James: stands and accepts his hand in gratitude, "Thank you Chip for the kind words." He reaches back for his glass of bubbly -
James adjusts my tie and takes a deep breath, "Next I am going to invite Brianna Marie, to say a few words, but before I give her the floor, I want to say a few words about Brianna."
Bri peeks up and offers a gentle smile
“For those of you that are not aware, Brianna was chosen to participate with me in my final. I had heard her name before, but we had yet to meet in person. So I was very curious of what made her so special that Thomas would so carefully choose her for me.” Looking into her eyes and smiling, "I very quickly found out why!"
She blushes brightly but offers him a dazzling smile.
“You see,....besides being observant, perceptive, knowledgeable, accommodating and an excellent role player, along with many other fine qualities, she is plain and simply, a sweet and sincere individual.
“ .....as we were having pre-scene discussions, talking about limits, likes and dislikes,....along with deciding on a date and time to proceed, I had an unexpected RL situation come up that I had to deal with, and Brianna was there for me, by being the most accommodating and caring individual I could have had. For that I will always hold a special place for her in my heart.” Jams raises my glass and slowly bows while glancing towards her, my eyes fixed on hers, - "It is an honor to know you Bri, and to be able to call you my friend - the floor is all yours!"

Brianna blinks away tears and offers him another gentle smile. "It was my pleasure, Master." A deep inhalation, collecting herself from his kind words before rising to her feet.
She dashes a warm smile and glances about, dipping her head to the man of the hour "When Maitre Thomas said he had a question for me, I at first thought it’d be one of the usual day-to-day sort of things… But when he mentioned a Master final, well, I’ll admit I perked right away, eager and interested to see who was so close in their progression. And when I heard whose it was, well I was delighted to agree, intrigued to see just how it would go.
“Sir James was quick to message me once he found out who had been assigned, and his evident desire was clear, not to finish the task, but to sit and talk, take the time to discover a bit more about each other before continuing on. He was adamant about planning out and leaving as little to fate as possible. In fact he spoke to me, asked for my likes and limits then said he’d get back to me after reading through it all and formulating where he wanted to go with the scene, taking it all into account.” She grins slightly, "Even when I mentioned that for me, I really -didn't- want to know everything in advance, still he gave me enough info to have a strong outline of where he was going with it. I knew where, when, and how he wanted me presented, and when curve balls came to us on timing - we took them as they came, and I believe, made a good go of it." dashes a glance over and offers a small warm smile to him.
James smiles back and listens to the kind words.
“That wasn't the only curve ball, but like everything else, our new Master James took it with the same quiet assurance, grace and strength I’ve come to see in each of his conversations, and he took control of the situation adeptly and steered the scene exactly as he wanted it to go. I had no worries under his care.
“I was glad to be a part of his path, even if only at the very end, and look forward to seeing his future accomplishments. Thank you Maitre Thomas for giving me the opportunity to assist in such an important task, and thank you Master James for making my first Master’s final, an intriguing experience. Congratulations for your achievement.” She smiles warmly and dips her head to him, and offers a warm smile to his Rosa as well, then settles to her knees again, as Rosa smiles back warmly at Brianna.
"Thank you Brianna, you are too kind. Oh, let me get that glass again,” turns and retrieves it
She chuckles softly and grins warmly, eyes sparkling. "It was all well-deserved, Master."
He looks out into the crowd at all the friendly and familiar faces, - smiles and musters up the simple words, "My Family!"
M A S T E R S P E E C H
Taking a deep breath, "It is a privilege to be standing before you here today, and I want to thank all of you for honoring me with your presence. But know this, - I could not be here if it were not for all of you!
“So I will begin by thanking Rene, for his immense generosity in providing this wonderful venue for us all to enjoy. It is through his vision that we are able to gather together, to learn and expand our awareness, and to perform that knowledge in a safe, sane and consensual way. Next I want to thank those in the administrative rolls, and management positions of Roissy Val d'Oise. Thomas, Xanadu, Dom, Petra, Derry, Kurt, Gillian, and the many others that have devoted so much of their SL and RL time into keeping this community in good order and running effectively, - Thank you for your service!”
Petra smiles and Xanadu also smiles up to Him
“Additionally I want to thank all of the Debutantes, Demoiselles and Sisters that assisted me with the many chores, services, conversations and scenes throughout my path. I hold a special place in my heart for each and every one of you, and I cherish you all!” Kurt smiles and thinks about sex.
“Whether on the record or off the record, I especially hold dear the many conversations and discussions that I have had the privilege of enjoying with so many in this community. No matter the title held, from Debutante, Intern, to Maitre or Maitresse, and all positions in-between, I have enjoyed getting to know you all, and to better understand you individually, while recognizing the contributions that you personally make in bonding this community together as the rich family that we truly are. Trust me my friends, there is no other place in Second Life quite like Roissy Val d'Oise.
“We have something very special here, and it is to the credit of each and every one of you, that we may enjoy this unique honor.” and he raises his glass now to the crowd, "To you my family, - it is through your strength, dedication and endurance that we continue to set the standard of excellence. - I salute you!" then lowers my glass while looking over this wonderful group, then takes a breath, "And now to the matter at hand.
“You have deemed me worthy of the title of Master of Roissy Val d'Oise. I accept this high honor, knowing that the standards of this title set by those that have come before me, will stand as an encouragement for me to do my best in representing this esteemed position honorably.
It is my desire that my presence here will provide a positive influence on this community. By expanding my knowledge and giving back to those desirous to learn, I intend to make a difference. All while keeping in mind, that I will never take more than I am able to give back in return.
"Our submissives are the lifeblood of this community, and as Dominants we must guide them and cherish them at the same time. For without them, - what purpose are we?" He smiles and raises my glass again, "To the lovely submissives of Roissy Val d'Oise! - it is only through you, that we Dominants are allowed to be the best that we can be!" He sips the last of the warm bubbly, lowers my glass and collects my final thoughts -
“In conclusion, let us be mindful of the spirit of why we are here, - and may we always apply that spirit with each other and with new members, so that we can continue to learn and to grow, - all while remembering the Four Pillars of Roissy Val d'Oise: - >Have Fun - >Be Respectful - >Be Tolerant - and >Use Common Sense. Now let us practice the first of those Pillars, >Have Fun, by retiring to the gardens to DANCE!
“Thank you again everyone! Thomas, do you have any final words?"
A chorus of congratulations roars forth along with a few hollers and toasts.
“Thank you so much everyone,” answers James.
S U M M A R Y A N D T O A S T
Thomas stands, “Well..it seems we had multiple toasts and we are all sufficiently lubricated for the dance. But always room for one last toast.”
Kurt uses his Jimmy Stewart accent and says "now, now, now that you are a Master., when the girl is unhappy but won't tell you why she is unhappy because she doesn't know why she is unhappy, what are you going to do?
"To our newest Master,” Thomas continues, “may his lap never be cold , cheers, my friend!"
“I also wish to take the opportunity to also thank Rene, for providing al of this for us, for having the vision to bring us all together, we are a large diverse group with many things to share, and It warms my heart for having all of this to share with each and everyone. Thank you al for joining us here, to celebrate with James.
“Everyone is dismissed, time to go dance, DJ Dove will be spinning for us. If you can after so many toasts.”
