The Ceremony of the Master is a joyous time, when the new Master gets to stand before his Family & Community and receive his accolaids. The following are the speeches given on Master JacOb's behalf.
From Maitre Thomas
"Welcome all my friends and a hearty thank you for joining us this evening as we celebrate the work that Jac0b Romano has completed on his journey to achieving his full Master tag, and as he joins the ranks of the many fine Masters of Roissy Val D'Oise."
"I also want to mention what a wonderful family we have here ar Roissy Val D'Oise and to thank you all for your excellent work and role play. You are what make this sim what it is today. Thank you." Its special that it is also at christmas
"It’s that time of year again when friends and family think about the Christmases of the past and plan for the coming holiday with their loved ones in mind...for our family to gather at Christmas and welcome a new Master, is special indeed
"Jacob came to me with his almost completed Dom log from Dom Supervisor Chronos. Jacob is a man that takes his time, so after a trip down memory lane, we worked out the details for finish his path.
"After applicants receive their Dominant tag and begin work on their log of task, it is much like any other journey where one seeks to learn and complete work and yet learn a great deal about themselves and the others around them. They find the others around them, both Dominants and submissives alike teaching one another from their store of wisdom.
"At Roissy Val d'Oise, we believe that being a Master of the Chateau is an achievement to be earned. We ask our Dominants to demonstrate their diligence in learning about our culture here at VdO and BDSM in general, to express their knowledge and understanding of critical components in this lifestyle, and to exhibit skill in building creative, enjoyable and erotic scenes with the submissive women in our community.
"Not everyone who begins this journey completes it. Those who do complete it do so because they don't give up, they keep moving forward. Many come here looking for a chance to have RP; most that make it through to earn their Master's tag discover much more than that.
"They discover a chance to learn, or re-learn about themselves and about BDSM in a warm, encouraging, growing community that takes it's heart from the Story of O.
"Tonight we're here to celebrate one of our own who has done the work, fulfilled his requirements and given of his time and energy to reach this achievement.
"Jacob , has turned in his log, and successfully completed his final task, so tonight we are here to celebrate what he has accomplished in his time here and his commitment to roleplay, and to welcome him to the ranks of the Masters of the Chateau.
" At this time I would like to ask Rene to speak, and also to thank him or making this ceremony even relevant."
From Maitre Rene
"As I see those of you that have come to celebrate and show support of the donning of a new Master at Roissy Val d' Oise. It is members such as each of you that make Roissy Val d; Oise what it is. It is each of your bonding and working together that make us a strong knit community.
"I thank and commend each of you for the support you show. Jac0b has been with us at Roissy Val d' Oise for quite a period of time and it is with gratitude that I am honored that he decided the time was right for him to complete his journey to Master.
"It is his determination and persistence that brought him to continue his journey. many have celebrated in the past but tonight Jac0b it is your night to howl as they say. This evening is about you and what you have accomplished. This journey takes dedication and time and is like others , whether it be graduating school, college, or any other accomplishment. It is one that takes great effort, so today I commend you Jac0b. It is with honor to bestow the title of full Master of Roissy Val d' Oise upon you.
“Only as high as one reaches can he grow, only as far as one seeks can he go, only as deep as one looks can he see, only as much as one dreams can he be.
"I hope you continue to reach high and seek a deeper journey, and see far in the distance as you continue to grow and dream big.
"In closing I would like to share something john Q Adams stated: 'If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader'.
"Jac0b, today you are a leader. Congratulations on your accomplishment."

"I would like to say i recommend Sir Jac0b, without a doubt in my mind, to become a full Master of Roissy Val d' Oise. I believe He has completed all task including the final, which was with a sister and that sister being me. He fulfilled all the requirements of the final task . i believe He will make a wonderful Master and will be a great addition as a Master. Sir Jac0b was assigned His final quiet sometime ago.
"We have discussed doing the final task for almost 1 year. He is not one to get in any hurry and likes to get to know a person before He role plays. i truly admire him for His sensual ways, honesty and integrity. He and i spent quiet a bit of time over the months of just chatting and talking of our pets and life in general. I wanted Him to feel comfortable with me so I never asked when He was going to finish His final task. i knew He would eventually do it in His own time when He had peace of mind.
[20:39] Vette (yvettesapphyre): On Saturday November 29th, I was on the sim, Sir jac0b approached me. He asked me to go sit with him and chat as we had done several times before.
"As we chatted He mentioned we should take a walk to the Chateau, so i followed along, but i could sense today was different from the other chats we had often discussed. It was not about our pets, and that cat He walks on a leash, but about the Dom He is and the submissive that i am.
"I have often looked back since that day He first told me of the cat that had claimed Him as it's Master and thought now i know why we discussed the cat He walks on a leash daily. It was a point He was showing to me, that all that is willing can be trained. even a stubborn cat that has a mind of their own. I reflect back thinking i was and am a lot like the cat, with the correct nurturing and care, i too obey, and as i do i do, my submission grows.
"I am far from perfect, but Sir Jac0b it is Dominates like you that make us submissives want to obey and learn. I felt cared for and protected while i was on his leash. That is how we should feel.
"I wish you the best in all things your do Sir Jac0b and thank you for allowing me the opportunity of getting to know you.
"His abilities as a dominate were superb and the aftercare he provided was not for just that scene but for days and even weeks after checking on me, often cuddling me. in the days that followed.
"Congratulations Master Jac0b, it gives me great honor to let those words slide from my tongue.

"Jacob, has been around VDO for a few years, just as I have, so when I met with him to discuss his path, it was an entertaining to hear old names that have not been around in a while that we both knew. Some of those names are Rebecca lavarock, Nica, Kativa, Magica and Dremon to name a few.
"Jacob and I share a love of good cognac, but more specifically B&B (Benedictine & Brandy). We sat in my office enjoying some B&B and chatted about the history of the sim, and various things. Somehow after a few glasses…I ended getting to know Jacob more than I thought I would, laughs. I learned that Jacob is a retired United States Army Master Sargent.

"With his training, I have thought he may be good a keeping order at our sim by administering swift and hard punishment, perhaps he can be my Master at Arms. Well just a thought…Chuckles.
"Jacob has a reputation at VDO of spending most of time socializing and talking to our girls and being very kind and caring. I know he will be a good man for our sim. Now, Jacob, has a few words for us.

"This is goign to be a bit different , chuckles I hope you enjoy it.
"Maitre Rene, Maitre Thomas, Vette and all you wonderful people. OH , Thomas thanks for the kind words.
"I'm going to tell you a story that led me to bdsm , I’m going to tell you how I have grown in this life style or continue to grow, you can see it in this treatise for yourself.
"We'll call it: The journey of a Vanilla
"Ok no coughing or smiling now!
"Many whispers the term vanilla like it is a bad word. I'm here to tell you it's very enjoyable, and I'm not going to whisper it at all. I'm a romantic, My idea of a binding post or cross were pillows in front of a flickering fireplace. My implements were: wine, soft music low lights and burning candles. Soft words an touches are my crops and floggers followed by nibbles and soft kisses. You control the mind you have everything. Romantics can be dominants as well as anyone else.
"I tired of Gor seeking new adventures and traveled a lot. I happened to run into a Roissy sister playing in a mid evil sim, we chatted became friends an she took me to my first Roissy sim. I land marked it and became a frequent visitor. I had no intentions of taking the path but visited a lot. VDO stood out in the crowd as the place to be if you wanted to be at a Roissy sim, others paled in comparison.
"I’m a talker who enjoys meeting new people and that’s what I did. I visited frequently and ended up collaring a sister. She wanted me to take the path so we could role play, which I did. I looked at the path as an assignment, to be completed as quickly and efficiently as possible, not something that should be enjoyed or learned from, striking a woman was not my style. One day while visiting the sim I saw Kativa sitting at the water front, I had attended her work shops and had a question for her concerning the scenes.
"I wanted them to be short an brief an to the point but accetpable. I found her to be sweet kind and informative. IN the mean time my newly collared who was going to get me through the scenes left SL not to be seen again. No problem, now I was back in my enjoyable visitor status but on the path.
"At this point I would like to point out two very special ladies that without their help an guidance I would not be standing here. Kativa whom I already mentioned and Vette.
"When I ran into Kat one day while visiting she asked me how my path was going, I explained what happened and my difficulty with striking a woman. She offered to help and do the punishment scenes. Thanks to Kativa I finished my path, someone who takes the time to help people here at VDO.
"Now my vanilla ice cream cone had sprinkles on the top with an introduction to a new life style, I’m not so vanilla anymore. That was over a year ago. It was a year this month I was given my final assignment just a couple of floggings some scenes and I was done. A sister was assigned, I’m good to go. The only problem is I was comfortable in my status, and I’m a procrastinator.
"I was still able to run my mouth chatting and meeting new people. That is until I meet Vette. She was standing there in the square as pretty as ever and like a horse drawn to water I had to say hello. Not only is she pretty an intelligent she can talk, I met my match. I should call her detective 1st class vette. Here came the questions, yes I’m a dom here, yes I completed my path, yes I was assigned a sister “Frost” who is no longer here. Of course this was done smoothly and sweetly she is so cleaver. She says, “I will do the final with you”, I’m like, “ok”, “damn those blue eyes.
"I need a connection if I’m going to scene with someone so I set out to know her. we had many nice talks some lasting hours. Now all I had to do was know something about floggers and how to use them properly. I didn’t want to come across as an idiot.
"At this point I would like to thank google, few mouse clicks and some intensive reading im good to go. But, what’s the rush right. Unlike Admiral Farragut’s , “Damn the torpedoes! Four Bells! Captain Drayton, go ahead! Jouett, full speed!”, I’m not going anyhwhere. Well kind of sort of until I ran into Vette again.
"We chatted again wanting to know when I was ready, I replied well I need to think of a reason to do the punishment scene, “wrong,” she says, “I can give you plenty of reasons to punish me.” "Lets go to the chateau."
"Off we go, nothing planned but it all worked out nicely. Word of caution here, “Don’t ever ask Vette to serve you coffee.” Without her gentle push I may not be standing here, the rest is history. Thank you Vette.
"I would like to thank Maitre Rene for a wonderful sim in which we roll play I want to thank Maitre Thomas for speaking for me and to all the wonderful people here with whom we all interact.
"Finally, when you see the people here with admn in their titles and you rush to give your complaints don’t forget to thank them for their time which they give freely to enhance our role play, I found they really do care."
