At the appointed hour, Maitre Taytlor stood and welcomed all to the celebration of a Mistress Title. The following are the speeches made on Mistress Derry's behalf, including her own.

Maitre Taylor Opens

"Thank you for joining us this evening as we celebrate the work that Derry has completed on her journey to achieving her full Mistress tag, and as she joins the ranks of the many fine Masters and Mistresses of Roissy Val D'Oise.

It is indeed Derry's day but I would like to briefly thank a couple of people...........first everyone look above Xanadu. Id like to thank Sana for the fabulous texture she made for Derry's special day. Lets all give her a hand.

Next I would like to thank Ayita for all the hard work she put in to this thing, She did 90% of the leg work, her help to me was immeasurable. Thank you so Much Ayita. Lets give her a hand.

I also want to take a moment and mention what a wonderful family we have here ar Roissy Val D'Oise and to thank you all for your excellent work and role play that you continue to strive toward as we live in community. You are what make this sim what it is today. Thank you."

"As many of you know, or might not know, after a Dom Intern earns their Dominant's tag and begin work on their log of task, it is much like any other journey where one seeks to learn and complete work and yet learn a great deal about themselves and the others around them. They find the others around them, both Dominants and submissives alike teaching one another from their store of wisdom"

"Although both the Dominant path and submissive path have changed some over time as we continually make tweaks here and there to make them better programs, the journey to completion is the same."

"But, as with anything in life, not everyone who begins this journey completes it. Those who do complete it do so because they don't give up, they keep moving forward. Many come here looking for a chance to have RP; most who make it through to earn their Master or Mistress tag discover much more than that."

"They discover a chance to learn, or re-learn about themselves and about BDSM in a warm, encouraging, growing community that takes it's heart from the Story of O."

"This day, we're here to celebrate one of our own who has done the work, fulfilled her requirements and given of her time and energy to reach this achievement."

"Derry, has turned in her log, successfully completed her final task, and taught a workshop alongside all of that. So this evening we are here to celebrate what she has accomplished in her time here and her commitment to roleplay, and to welcome her to the ranks of the Masters and Mistresses of the Chateau."

"So with that, Derry will no longer wear the Dominant tag that she has for these past few months and weeks, and will take on a new role as a Mistress........" He points to the new tag over her head>>>>>>> I invite you to take a moment and congratulate her before I continue.

"Derry I would now like to present you with your Mistress ring. For those of you that do not know, the Mistress' ring has a picture of the Chateau engraved on it as well as Roissy VdO. So, Derry I present you with this ring as another mark and sign of a job well done on this path."

Derry Auer tries it on with a concerned look, whispering, "We're not engaged or anything now, are we Taylor?"

"Now, Derry was assigned Blue as the Sister for her final scene. As was no surprise, Blue did indeed give a favorable recommendation of this Dominant. So before we have any other guest speakers, Derry, have Blue speak for you."

Thank you Taylor, I'll be happy to.... "I'm compelled to thank certain individuals in particular. To do so, I'd like to start with the last, in that this dear sister submitted her services to me, in compliance with the oath she took at her initiation to serve the dominants of this community. The first time was just a chance meeting at the landing, a quick perving of her profile and a request to do a scene with me for my log to which she agreed, it was fun!"

"We seemed to get on well for that scene and in conversation afterward found a connection. So, I was pleased to find that she had been assigned to do my final required scene with me. As was mandated, I was a complete bitch to this lovely thing for four hours while she remained only the model of a sweet willing submissive. To top it off, she is named for my favorite color."

Derry Auer: Jeez, I tried

Sister Blue's Speech

My name is Blue, and I deliberately named myself that six years ago, thinking someday might meet a Mistress Derry and need a special way to attract her. It worked -- and now I have the honor of speaking for this woman -- whose reputation for grace, charm, and social magnetism is already well known.

Mistress Derry, whose welcoming smile has drawn so many of us to her, has faced in Roissy VdO the issue no man must ever face: That not all submissives are bisexual. I am pleased to say that she addressed this with me directly and in such a nice way that had I not been bi, I may have decided to try it anyway.

Before talking about her final scene, Mistress Derry took the time to get to know me. She spent the time reading my profile, asking me questions, even going out socially and re-introducing me to her collared sub, Lexi, and in a more than friendly way, I might add.

Because she was always sending me kind hellos and welcomes, I feared that Mistress Derry would have trouble shedding that gracious exterior in an intense D/s scene. I feared that when it came to writing my review, I would be rationalizing a milquetoast, too-nice roleplay as hard as I could into a justification for Mistresshood

But -- when it finally happened, Mistress Derry really took charge. The soft pleasantries disappeared, replaced by firm power exchange, and I felt truly controlled in her capable hands. I can still feel the stings of the whipping stick from that long and harrowing final scene, which she capped with an almost-surgical implanting of fine needles to create a heart-shaped design on my back.

In a not bitchy way, either... I was afraid the needles would hurt (and they did). But mostly, I was afraid I’d suffer an infection or a permanent disfigurement. However, she had reassured me up front, they would be used with great care. She took her time, slowly slipping needles into my skin and pushing, then applying alcohol with a swab. Afterwards, she dragged me into the main Library to show off her handiwork.

So I can honestly say, this is a Mistress for all Seasons. She has style, wit, confidence, leadership, and a even a flair for needlework! In the interest of time, I will spare you the long list of other good things I’ve learned about her, and there are many, trust me.

I am proud to have been in her final scene, and I wish her all the best as a Mistress here at Roissy Val d’Oise.

Mistress Derry Introduces Maitresse Ayita

"I often learn things the hard way, not always asking for help, being proud, stubborn, stupid and various combinations thereof. So, what a relief to find a mentoring program here, and then to luck out and get an excellent Mentor. I spoke about her at her recent ceremony but with such a dynamic personality I don't have to worry about repeating her virtues ( I use that term casually) rather just adding to the long list."

"She has been a strong advocate for my success, always answering my inquiries in the most beneficial manner. She has provided facts when appropriate, opinion only in rare cases, direction, (read as prodding), at the most opportune times, even consolation if things were going awry. Any of us who have people we can count on know how fortunate we are. I feel very fortunate to have this lady in my corner."

"Ayita, will you please come up?"

"Thank you Derry, and once again, congratulations. Ladies and gentleman, Derry, I would like to share with you the moment I met my mentee. And um, you may not think me so amazing after I spit this gem out."

She adopts her best Derry like voice for the reenactment;

"Derry Auer: Hiya, dance?"

"Ayita (naybabe): Aww thank you but I am already lined up with another if we can ever find the balls."

"Derry Auer: lol, you don't need balls, you're a woman!"

Derry Auer belly laughs... I said that?

and that is the truth too, yes! I went back curious when writing this speech and it was just waiting for me to discover.

"Oh yes, that is the very first encounter we ever had. Here I was just wondering how we came to meeting, looked back at the history and believe it or not -- that was the moment!"

Derry Auer: I have to remember I'm being recorded

Ok ok let's not make people get ideas now ... Needless to say, she missed out on her dance but the next time she spoke to me far less entertaining. She wanted to know all about being a Domme here at VdO."

All funny business aside, Derry was determined and eager from the outset. She took her time in completing each and every task. She came to me, not to ask for my opinion on her logs, but to let me know she had done x, y, z but she was not satisfied.

Normally we mentors are supposed to tow the hard line, forcing our poor victims to do and redo until WE are satisfied. Not with Derry, she never put pen to paper until she was certain that she had learned all she could from the task.

This truly is a special moment, not only because I am so incredibly proud of this remarkable woman; but because both of us stand here today passing the torch between us. Such a rare and unique moment, for a Maitresse to see her mentor receive the honor of Mistress.

I am going to keep this short and sweet, for there is one, more important person that I know Derry is dying to hear from. So, congratulations Derry, you have gained a wonderful honor today and Roissy has gained another wonderful Dominant. Enjoy it, embrace it and never forget to keep learning."

Mistress Derry Introduces Lexi

"Thank you Ayita! And the first shall be last. To speak maybe, but she is certainly first in my SL, always in my heart, so often on my mind as well. This has been the case for approximately 3 years, 5 months and 28 days, give or take."

"The beautiful thing about love is it's infinite nature. No matter how many we love, we can love each of them completely. I have no reservation over announcing here or anywhere that I love this woman with all my heart."

"We've been through a lot together, many wonderful times, some very rough times, but always together, and always stronger than the day before. I can't imagine my life without her. I'll stop there, or I may go on for another 3 years, 5 months and 28 days,.. give or take."

Lexi Speaks

"My Friends and those of you I know or don't know, I've been told to keep my remarks short, as all of you would like to get out of here sometime today. I hope you're all comfortable, I didn't do a good job. I do have to say though that many wanted to speak for Miss Derry today, in fact, Both Amaya Rose and I thought we'd get the chance but were told only one of us could, so we had a short discussion about it. I believe Amaya will be healed up in a matter of weeks and the doctors say she'll hardly limp at all."

"All kidding aside, I am here to say nice things about Misstress Derry, a friendship that spans 3 years, 5 months and 28 days is a huge task to condense into less than 15 minutes. When I first met Miss Derry I was dancing in a private club, I can't say what it was that compelled me, but within minutes we were dancing together, and within days pledges were exchanged and we became linked."

"I'll admit to you all that in the beginning I didn't know this was going to be the deep commitment we have today, It has been my experience that relationships that flare up quickly burn hot and burn out, but as fast as our love blossomed we've never lacked fuel for our desires."

"Don't get me wrong we are both passionate and independent women and we've had our share of blowups but each time we've found that our love holds us together through every one and has just become stronger through every test."

"One of the toughest tests was actually me coming to Roissy VdO, I was drawn to the path here and at the same time didn't want to commit to such a difficult journey. I'm not the type of person to dither, and yet I did, to the point of driving poor Mistress Derry to the brink of insanity... well after I did join and about the time I reached my Initiation she chose to join, and she also found Roissy VdO to be her home. She's pushed through an amazing number of barriers to receive this most honored position."

"Blue talked of social magnetism well Misstress Derry has moved through Roissy VdO touching many, as I said several girls would have liked to speak today, so I asked a couple if they would like me to say something for them.”

"Gwen who was the first Mistress Derry helped initiate wanted to say" … "She helps everyone on their path or also with every problem they may have even RL making All to trust Her and want to go that inch further for Her if they get the chance to scene with Miss Derry... went to Patty whom Misstress Derry also helped initiate and she said, "(Mistress Derry) is one of those quiet sweet Dommes nice as can be but can freeze you with a look, one of those people make you wanna be better to serve me more and never disappoint me"

"Miss Derry has been my rock and mentor since my very first day at Roissy Val d/Oise! always keeping my spirits high and always there for me...then Muffin piped in with "Miss Derry always a delight to see her an dance with her while discussing idea an thought for roleplay very happy to hear all her hard work earned her new title of Mistress."

"Golden wanted em to add, "what could I say of Miss Derry? first of all she has a heart, she cares all of us, she is a good mate, a good friend always ready for helping you in anything you need... and of course a good Mistress beloved by all of us. No one I know could say a wrong word about her. "

"Oh.. and she has a very nice dance hud too! I have scened with her at least twice and I can assure always was so warm, intense and satisfactory. Cinnamon mixed in a sculpted glass cup of red wine. I remember the day I met Miss Derry.. I was being punished by Master Dash for calling him Sir, not once not twice but three times and I had to wear a truffle on my nose go up to the Doms Masters Maitress, Mistresses MIsses whoever was around and let them know what I did and why I had this truffle on my nose... :

"Asfridr continued with, "Miss Derry was so sweet and kind about it. She listened then said I am sure it won't happen again and it never did .. Anyone that knows Miss Derry knows what a Jewel of a Mistress she is and will always be ... she then said, "From the moment I met Miss Derry she has been a rock for me a very special person in my life here, explaining things I didn't understand, helping with things I never thought I could understand or do and helping me find my way when I was lost and the most important is she is the best as well as being so special and a dear friend one I will always cherish while holding her deep in my heart. I know Miss Derry will be the best Mistress and succeed in all she puts her mind to... Love you Miss Derry... "

"Ruby had this to say of Misstress Derry, "I did my very first roleplay scene with Mistress Derry, a few days after I became a debutante. We had only just met, and so I was terribly nervous about the whole thing. Then she decides to take me up to clean an aftercare room in the dungeon, I gulped, I hadn't even been up there yet. The task went great, we laughed a lot, while I worked, she gave me constructive criticism in my roleplay and the best part was that our time spent together up there, just the two of us, became the foundation for a new and beautiful friendship that I hope will last many many years. Continuing she said, "I"It's so unfair when Miss Derry wears anything blue... It goes so well with Her eyes, I can't help but melt. ~ grins wide."

"Meribor wanted to say, "It's so unfair when Miss Derry wears anything blue... I just melt. It goes so well with Her eyes. Miss Derry is an absolute sweetheart, yes, but what impresses me about her as a Domme is that she doesn't have to drop that sweetness to take command of you."

"Amaya was not allowed to speak today, but she has grown as close to Mistress Derry that she has become a part of our family, as close to me as a sister can be. I know that this is not all she wanted to say but in the interests of time here is what she did say" ... "I feel privilege that Mistress Derry would ask me to write something. This is very personal for me. Miss Derry is one of those people that you meet and you find yourself thinking about her again and again after she logs. I am so proud of you my dearest friend and lover. You have achieved something that many never finish. My respect for you as a Mistress is heighten by the love that has grown with my feelings for you. If there is ever a woman that deserves the title of Mistress, well it would be you.

"Congratulations Mistress Derry. you are an amazing woman with qualities of grace, compassion, imaginative, yes wow the imagination that you have with your scenes and just overall is beyond what most dominants do or even possess. I love you Mistress Derry and thank you for allowing me to kneel at your heels."

"I think that sums up how I and others feel about Mistress Derry, it is with great love I speak for her today and I am honored to be allowed to do so, thank you all and thank you Mistress for being the wonderful Person and Domme that you are."

Good thing I can copy/paste, no way I could talk. Greetings to all of you, my family and friends. Thank you for coming. Of course I'd like to begin by thanking Rene for providing us with such a beautiful place to be who we are and to enjoy one another as such. I'm sure you all share my gratitude for this as well as for the hard work and dedication of our administrators."

"Before coming here, I'd never been part of a real community in SL. I'd worked at a couple of places which fostered fellowship with other employees and regular patrons. Those places also offered ample opportunity to help others, which I enjoy doing"

"I'm happy to say that here, at VdO, I've found those wonderful things to much greater degree. I think I've also learned more here than anywhere I've spent time in SL and I'd like to thank you all for that. Couldn't have done it without you."

"If for any reason it's inappropriate for a Mistress to feel humbled by so many kind words, then I've failed miserably. Thank you so much for all the sweet things you've said. I hope I can always live up to them."

"I spent a day once, introspectively. My self-evaluation told me that I wasn't a complete Domme for my girls. By definition, I was a "Loving Domme". Nothing really bad about that, but I neglected certain of their needs. Things they asked me for, hinted at, alluded to. Things they could get elsewhere and were free to do so, but still wanted from me."

"Part of my decision to embark on my path here was to embrace that part of my role and be able to provide for those needs, and to enjoy it as much as they do. Not only did it work, but I found a wonderful family as well."

Maitrey Tyalor's Closing Speech

I didn't plan to say this Derry, but after hearing the comments about you I would like to share, when I started in SL..........kidding...... My Mentor, and great Dominant in my mind, that some of you may know named Chronos. Once told me that you can be a gentleman and still redden a few asses, so if Gentleman = Lady, or Lady = Gentleman which ever the case may be, you have proved that you can indeed be considered a Lady and still redden a few asses.

"Thank you Derry and congrats, well done. Now, I propose a toast to the Mistress of the hour." He points to the champagne bucket. "Mistress Derry,. May you continue to grow in your role as a leader here. In addition, I raise my glass to every single member here, we are not all the same but we are all part of a larger whole." He raises his glass. "Cheers!!!!!!!"
