Maitre Jonathon welcomed everyone and then invited Master Dark's special guests to speak on his behalf.

Good day everyone, Its nice to have you all with us on this occasion as we celebrate another one of our Dominants completing his Master path. Dark is my mentee and there is debate on whether or not that is a real word... as with all of us, the path is not always perfectly smooth sailing. But if it were easy, any one could do it. It takes perseverance, dedication and commitment. Dark has proved he he has all those things even though his mentor threatened him with a hatchet.
I told Dark early on I was not here to stand over his shoulder and tell him every move to make, that I was merely a sounding board when he needed it. We have kept this type of relationship throughout.
One thing that Dark did that we should all appreciate is RP with our submissives. Please don't misunderstand, our dances, workshops, discussions and ceremonies like this are a very important part of our community, but, we are a role play sim. And, Dark has done just that. Thank you for that.
Anal play, wow, just, wow! That took some balls.
Yes, Darks Master workshop was on anal play. You really have to appreciate Dark for putting himself out there like that. And he held not a single thing back. I feel there is no bigger kinkster than me but I was even squirming in my seat.
Next, Dark turned in his log and was ready for his final. As was the usual, all thing were considered in his log, past scenes, strength and weaknesses and the likes, and a final was put together for him.
The day came for the final but things didn't go as planned. There was a slight snafu. After days of deliberation we talked and he would redo it. He took it like a man. I was proud of him for doing so, he had every opportunity to say "screw this" and leave. This happens sometimes when ego's are involved. He did indeed redo the scene with the lovely nica and now everything is in place for him to wear that Master title above his head the ring on his finger.
You have done well, it means almost as much to the greater community for you to receive your rewards here today than it does to you and I Dark. It means that we have another leader.
Understand your journey is not over, just evolving, progressing. I want you to understand, now that you wear that Master tag above your head, you will be called on to carry a heavier load of responsibility. This responsibility includes representing our community with ethics and dignity. I have great confidence you will Dark.

Greetings Maitres, Masters Sirs, sisters and guests, I feel very honored to say some humbly words in front of you. I think the most features of SL and so of VdO is to be all around the world but at the same time we miss sometimes to meet some nice persons we could met if we lived in the same time zone. So is my relation with Sir Dark, He is USA an I am European.
But when Maitre Dusty stepped aside and Gillian took a break I decided to clean my friends list.. I deleted 166 friends of VdO. You are still friends although not listed anymor.
But Sir Dark noticed and asked me why, so we are friends again. He was the only one!!!!!!!
He ordered me for a scene and of course I obey, didn't know it was his final. Do I have to say more??? We had a wonderful scene and I enjoyed it. He even pushed my blindfold limit. I Never thought it could be possible after so much time spent here, so I bow my head and welcome you Master Dark.
Master Dark's Speech
Thank you for being here today. It means a lot to me. It is the people here at Roissy that make this place worth coming to. I have been involved with SL and BDSM for over 10 years now. For the first couple years I owned and managed a BDSM lifestyle SIM and owned two girls. One I named Genie; she granted all my wishes. I actually kept her in a Genie bottle. Over time the SIM became a lot of work with little reward. I turned to my friends and asked for help managing the place. I asked them to step up. When none answered my call, I sold the SIM and moved on.
About the same time I found Gor. It was a wondrous world where men are dominant and many of the women are utter slaves. I read all the books, about 26 or them I think and totally immersed myself in the culture.
After only being in Gor a few weeks I ran into an auburn haired girl on the docks. My pickup line was something like, “Hey your cute, come with me”. She became my slave and served me faithfully for over 4 years. We learned Gor together. We read the books together. We learned how to be a Master and a slave together.
I thought I was this great Master. I thought I knew it all. But that’s because beth was a wonderful slave. That’s what I named her, beth. She had the true heart of a slave. Her first and foremost though was how to make other people happy.
I’m crying now as I write this. I loved her very much. But, I do not think I appreciated her as much as I should have. You see, I thought it was I who was the great Master, when in reality it was she who was the great slave.
I would see other men with their unruly slaves and think to myself ‘why can’t you train your slave better’. I thought it was me who trained my girl so well. But it was her heart that made her such a great slave. She had such a strong desire to please. It wasn’t role play for her. It was real. It was real for me too.
Beth made me look good. Because she was so great, she made me look like I was a good Master. Everything a girl does once she is owned, reflects back on her Master for good or bad.
What did I learn from beth? I learned a lot. After I lost her to cancer, I took some time off SL. When I came back, I thought I’d find another good slave just as quickly and train her to be a great slave and please me well. Well, I still have not found another great slave. I’ve been through many slaves. But they do not last for one reason or another. I don’t think you can train a girl to be a great slave. She has to have the true heart of a slave. She must have the burning desire to serve and please. To put others before herself.
If you wish to be a good sub or slave, you must have a good heart and desire. Masters can shape you and help mold you. But it is you who can make yourself a great sub. Not the Master. If you wish to know more about beth, have a look at my profile. She is listed prominently in my picks.
There are a lot of great people here. My Mentor Taylor, Dusty, Jonathon, Xanadu, Nica, dorable several of the Doms and Dommes and of course the submissives who serve us all so wonderfully. That’s what attracted me here. That’s what keeps me coming back.
I see a lot of good hearts here. Genuinely good people. For some Roissy is their first experience with BDSM. For others they already come with much experience. As a Master, we need to recognize the difference and treat each submissive as an individual. You cannot be as extreme with a girl who just became a Dem two days ago and Roissy is their first experience with BDSM.
Like I said at the beginning. I’ve been doing BDSM for over 10 years. Heck, maybe 30. I didn’t know it was called BDSM though. I remember as a kid just out of high school, I tied my girlfriend up in the back of my truck and brought her up to New Hampshire for the weekend; about a 3 hour drive. About half way up, the state police pulled me over and made me untie her. It is a good thing she said she was with me willingly or I would have been arrested.
I know I still have much to learn about BDSM. I hope to continue to learn here. Before I hand the mic back to Jonathon, let me just say one more important thing, “You can never use too much Lube”!

Dark, before I bestow upon you the honor of Master within this great community, I must ask you a few things. In front of all who have gathered here today, do you pledge to cherish, protect and nurture the submissive nature of each and every one of our girls of this community? Do you pledge never to intentionally harm them, and when you do err, to do your best to rectify and learn from such? Do you you pledge to continue to guide and share what you have learned with others, to continue being a valued, active member of our community? And lastly, do you pledge to always keep an open mind to the wisdoms of others to allow yourself to continue to learn and grow in becoming a better Dominant within our beloved Roissy Val d'Oise?
Master Dark nods in agreement and smiles to Jonathon, "Yes I do. I pledge to all of these things. I hope to be an active member of the community, learn a lot and give back as much as I can"
Maitre Jonathon lifts the small ring within his fingertips and slides his hand over to set the ring into the palm of his right hand.
