Maitre Dusty welcome everyone before presenting Sir Quiet with his Master ring and tag.

"Before I turn the floor over to Master Quiet and his guest speakers, I wish to present his Master ring that has been made for the Masters of Roissy VDO. So Quiet, on behalf of Rene, I give this to you as well as one who now joins the ranks of the Masters of the Chateau."

Dusty Caldera offers him the Roissy Master ring. "We are honored to have you in our community as we are with the rest of our family here. I know that you will continue the hard work you have demonstrated so far as you continue this next part of your journey in our community."

Master Quiet takes the shiny new Master's ring from Dusty and slides it onto his finger, lifts his hand looking at it, and reaches to shake hands with Dusty. "Thank you Dusty, its has taken a while ... thank you for your guidance and support along the way."

Maitre Dusty Caldera smiles.."You certainly earned it!"  The two shake hands, smiling.

The following individuals spoke on Master Quiet's behalf.

Sister Sweet

Maitres/Maitresses, Masters/Mistresses, Sirs/Misses, and all my Dear fellow submissives,  It was my honor to participate in Sir Quiet's final,  which turned out to be a VERY ELECTRIFYING experience!  Sir Quiet discussed with me what he had in mind for his final... always taking into consideration my limits.  We discussed pushing some of those limits.. which Sir Quiet did with great aplomb and dignity.  But then again, those words so describe Sir Quite himself.

The night of the final proceeded with some surprises for me.. pushing some of my limits, but not to the point of needing a warning or safeword.  Sir Quiet showed concern for my well being at all times..even when attaching electrodes to certain areas on my body!  Talk about being HOT!

The aftercare was done with my comfort being the biggest concern. I love how Sir Quiet listened to me babble on. (a lot of you know I am good at that).

It is with great pleasure that I highly recommend Sir Quiet for Master here at Vd'O.  THUMBS UP AND SMOOTH SAILING, MASTER QUIET!

Sister Sadie

I first met Master Quiet ironically a year ago this weekend when I politely asked him to wear his tag  as we so often do here.  We progressed onto discussing microphones and workshops until for the next few months.

March was when I really started to get to know Master Quiet.  Over morning chats,  we moved onto discussing things that mattered greatly to each other.  Through these talks I learned that this quiet Dominant was a man worthy of respect.  His unassuming manner, his thoughtfulness, and his willingness to support other members of VDO were just the surface.  He is a strong man who is firm in his convictions and I can't do anything but respect that.

I have to say when his Workshop was announced, Does Size Matter? that I chuckled to myself and thought "Sir Quiet with such a racy topic?"  What I found was a well thought out and extremely relevant workshop.  He related something I have long suspected about avatars and their heights - that size does matter.

Finally for about six months now I've had the privilege of seeing him through my dear friend Sweet's eyes as well.  His presence always a pleasure and his support always given willingly.  He is a strong, kind, caring dominant who will make a great addition to the Masters of Roissy.  Congratulations Master Quiet - this honor is well deserved.

Master Quiet's Speech

Greetings ... I am honored to have A/all of you here today.  As I look at the list of "Calling Cards" in my Inventory, I have met and chatted with hundreds over the years on dozens of different sims.  I started my journey in SL almost ten years ago ... off and on through the early years with far too many crashes and far too much lag.  Dusty's journey on SL started over 12 years ago and surely he has been through even more.

I spent much of on my time on SL various sims including one with a BDSM lifestyle. But as sometimes happens, the sim was going through some stress with the staff that was getting deeper and more distracting and the sim was close to folding.  But there is a part of me that is Dominant as many of us Scorpio's are and I was hoping to find a more stable sim.

As luck, or maybe Destiny, would have it while looking through the profiles of others there  I saw a "Pick" for Roissy Val d'Oise and thought ... "Why not take a look"  With the click of my mouse button and a TP I arrived at VdO Landing. I was instantly greeted and warmly welcomed by someone I never met before

Impressed with the reception, I returned the greeting and looked around the well lit setting thinking this is a plesant departure from the typical dark black and red BDSM sims.  I landmarked the sim and came back later and wandered around. After a while I saw a group gathering and went to see what was happening and ended up in on the second floor of the Teahouse in a workshop

Again, i was greeted and took a seat out of curiosity.  At the end Xan reminded the group to be sure to log the worshop for their paths... only I had no idea what a log or a path were at the time.  That was about about a year ago and my  journey at VdO began .

After attending and logging several more workshops I filled out an application and put it in the ... yellow box. Within about an hour JC sent an IM asking if I had time for an an interview. I told him I did and a few minutes later was in a place called the Chateau sitting in an office answering a few questions and listening to JC tell me more.and then agreeing to somethings and getting a notecard with a path and then an Intern's tag.

The next day I looked through my path and realized I already attended and logged many of the required workshops.  I was able to attend and log the other required workshops and work on the tasks and put it back in the yellow box in about a week.  JC reviwed my Dominates Path, interviewed me, gave me a shiny new Dominants tag and then said "Watch Group Chat" as he sent out a Group Notice and the congratulations began flashing by instantly as they still do for others now.

Some of you may not know JC, Justyn Clawtooth, but he contributed to the sim in so many ways. I want to thank him for helping me and so many others here.  He then sent me another notecard for VdO Master and wished me well. Oh boy I thought.

And so my Masters Path started and a long journey that was side tracked or held up too many times by RL events followed.  Over time, with starts and stops, struggles and time outs, my Masters Path progressed with the help of so many here on the sim

Sweet, Annie, May, Alika, Accord, Lan, Mira, Karli, Harley, Malana, Marie, Inoa, and so many more helped or offered to help me with my tasks. Gillian and Xan and Sadie and Sana encouraged me from time to time too.  We really are a community here, a Famille, supporting each other and recognizing we are individuals with our likes, dislikes, limits, personalities, attitudes, and behaviors.

There is little others can  change us except maybe our behavior.  And when behaviors do not fit, some choose to leave, some choose to change ... hopefully change for the betterment of ourselves and for the betterment of our community.  Change is not always easy or welcome ... however as Rene has reminded us more than once in the past ... We are a community, each a precious part of the whole.

And has asked ...  We support one another, be part of the solution, choose friendship not drama.

And noted ... We are a respectful tolerant accepting family, find your place here.

I have tried to follow each of these during my time here at VdO, often following the example set by my mentor ... Dusty.  I want to thank Dusty for his patience with me on my my Masters Path, for his checks on my progress along the way, for the many offers of help, and sometimes an occasional poke to get moving.  And although I grumbled and groaned to him at times, we made it one wayor another.  Thank You again Dusty.

To the Debutantes, Demoiselles, Sisters, and Admin ...whether a chat, a chore, or something more ...  I sincerely Thank You.  Sweet ... I want to especially Thank You for both the encouragement and patience with me for many, many months ... or as our mutual friend, Raven tells us ... in SL that can be like a lifetime.  Sweet helped me avoid potholes along my journey, make the correct turns, and nudge me along as a Friend, one of my first here at VdO. She can be very traditional at times and has probably already checked the outfits of every Deb here.
