Rene's lips curl in a smile as he nods and looks to them all as the crows quieted down at the second ever O Ceremony got underway. He gazed around and cleared his throat, “How wonderful it is we are having so many occasions to come together in celebration of our lovely family members achieving milestones. Together we make Roissy Val d’Oise an even better home and community for all of us!
He paused glancing at the window, “Summer is beginning to shine all around us and with warmly and longer days. He turned to Thomas... "Let's begin, my friend."
Maitre Thomas stood and glanced over the crowd, “Thank you, brother. Esteemed Roissy Family, you are here supporting Blue as she moves into her new role means quite a lot to her and to Roissy as this is an infrequent and special achievement and honor. This honor is the highest one bestowed on our submissives, in Roissy Val d'Oise- that of the role of 'O.'
“Roissy has not had many that have achieved "O". It is meant to be for a submissive that exemplifies what O is in the Story of O. The qualities of politeness to everyone Dominant and Submissive alike grace, beauty, and willing service to the Dominants were easy to see in Blue. Our Blue was not always a popular fixture here at Roissy. She was terribly shy when she first arrived at VdO, in February 3, 2014.. Now she is a confident, and active sister that engages everyone with grace and also has organized and hosted her own play parties. Without further delay, Xanadu, lets bring Blue forward”

Xanadu eased her way up, brushing the folds of her gown, “Thank you, Maitre Thomas, as you wish and nodded to the Ladies. Aspirantes Diamond and Asfridr brought forward Aspirtante Blue.
Xanadu moved forward "Maitre Rene .. and those present on the stage, turned to the audience, "Greetings Maitres Masters, Sirs, Misses, and Ladies. What am amazing day this is .. not only is this the 8th anniversary of Maitre Rene's dream .. but also when He will soon formally announce our newest Roissy O."
Xanadu turned and smiled to Blue .. "To be elevated to this honored position .. which is the highest position a submissive can achieve here at Roissy is indeed special. We have at the present time two others who aspire to become Roissy O. They are Diamond and Asfridr and are here in support to Blue .. just as Blue was here for me during my O Ceremony."
"I will say this is a path that takes many, many months giving complete dedication and activity to Roissy and is not one to be taken lightly and certainly not one that can be rushed . This path can at times be quite demanding with regards to the tasks which are much more involved .. both community wide and log related. I can honestly confirm that Blue has respectively completed her path completely and throughly in regards to Maitre Rene's vision for the Roissy O Path."
“Blue has hosted events for the community. I am sure many of yall are familiar with her "Kick Ass Key Party".. as well as doing discussions in our chateau .. presenting workshops .. posting events on our website and mentoring submissives.. just to name a few as mentioned by Maitre Thomas .
Xanadu smiled happily and turns to Maitre Rene .. "Maitre Rene.. It is with these words I have said that I recommend Blue to become our newest Roissy O .. and to be held in the highest esteem .. a submissive can be of Roissy Vald'Oise .. by both our Dominants and submissives. I will add .. In honor of this anniversary day and Maitre Rene ..on the second level in the gallery is a "Story of O" exhibit .. please when you have the time visit it."
Maitre Thomas stood and smiled to everyone before he turned to Blue, “It so nice to see her wearing Blue..most times, Blue doesn't wear Blue. Derry, will you speak for Blue, please?”

Maitresse Derry stood with a smile to Thomas and to everyone before taking a step forward, “I will be happy to, Thomas. Good day all. What a privilege it is for me to speak to all of you on behalf of this amazing VdO submissive and a dear friend, our wonderful Blue. When I was on my path to Mistress, I was required to do a scene with Sister. At that time, I wasn't finding any Sisters interested in scening with another female.
“I was chatting at the landing one Sunday morning and Blue appeared. A quick peek at her profile hinted that she might be amenable to serving a Domme, so I asked. To my delight, she agreed. When it was time for my Mistress final. I was thrilled to find that Blue was my assigned Sister. I was told that I wasn't allowed to be nice, so for four hours Blue tolerated mean Miss Derry and never lost her composure.”
Blue smiled as Maitresse Derry continued, "A lot of time has passed since then, but a few days ago it was once again time for mean Miss, now Maitresse, Derry to make an appearance. This time to do another final with Blue and take her to the end of a very long and intensive path to O. With the help of Xana, Lei and Alisha, she was stripped, bound and flogged, where upon I swiftly pierced her labia and attached the dangling medallion, then immediately branded her with the mark of Roissy VdO. That's a lot in an hour's time.”
“Blue accepted her due stoically and hung on, as I had no doubt she would. I doing so, Blue completed her final requirements in a fashion befitting such an honored position. A fashion which displays her heart, her dedication and her determination.”
Maitresse Derry blew a kiss to the beautiful blond and returned to her seat, "Well done Blue!"
Maitre Thomas stoods and looked out the family with pride, “My friends, our next speaker needs introduction since he is the owner of our wonderful sim. We would not be here at all without his generosity. Please will you speak for Blue, my brother Rene?"

Maitre René straightened in his chair and stood. His eyes move from face to face, taking in the faces of the famille members in attendance. “This dream began with the Historie d'O… a place to provide Dominant and submissive training in SL that could, if a person chose, take it into real life with great success and ease. The dream was to assist both factions of the D/s dynamic in exploring and achieving the fullest expression of those inner qualities in their life to whatever degree they could afford.”
“Does my dream accomplish this? Only you the members can say. Though it has been thought that the end of the road for a Dominant at Roissy Val d’Oise is Maitre/Maitresse and the end of the road for a submissive is the achievement of the O title. We must all realize there is no end of the road, for each of us is on an endless journey of self-discovery and continual growth. You never arrive because the moment you fool yourself into believing you have, life will throw you a curve ball and you will find you have so much more to explore and learn.”
Maitre Rene looks at Blue, “Here sits one of our submissives who has come to the end of the Roissy Val d’Oise Submissive Training Path and is receiving the accolade of the O title, but what all this truly means is she is now THE role model to all submissives behind her of selfless service to the Dominants on our home and is not a submissive who picks and chooses those she serves.”
Maitre René studied her a moment, “Here, at Roissy Val d'Oise, O never tires of being available to serve when called upon, for the only service required of her is to our Dominants above all other duties. O is an educated representative of our lovely home, our rules, our guidelines, and ensures others know and respect such rules and guidelines without hesitation. O is not weak, Submissive yes. But O has been properly trained on how to conduct herself with Dominants, submissives, and visitors alike, and steps easily into each role with full confidence at educating. Reigning and yes, even correcting errors that may occur, with the smooth efficiency of a caretaker of our home and famille. O exemplifies submissive devotion and loyalty to our famille, our community as well as to me, putting these things in the fore of her sights. O never says to another "that's not my department." For she knows what as O amongst us. Her role is to ensure that messages get delivered, concerns are reported and things that need to be fixed are fixed. This does not mean that O is a busybody involved in everyone's business. It means that when members of our community turn to her, she will do her best to ensure positive solutions are reached and that the proper authorities are made aware of things, situations, people, concerns beyond her scope of responsibility.
“O knows how to organize events, coordinate and manage ceremonies, step-ups to the plate and make sure things get done. She does not lay the burden on others whether that be a small detail all the way to covering expenses on things she chooses to host for herself or our famille. However, beyond this and back to the bottom line. O serves our Dominants. Role-modeling what it means to be a Roissy Val 'd Oise submissive no matter in which station a girl might currently reside. In essence, O "is" Roissy Val d'Oise.”
T H E T I T L E
Maitre Rene takes hold of her hand, “Come to me Blue and remove your Owl Mask. Step into the full personification of Roissy Val d'Oise. From this day forth you shall be O. Let your devotion and loyalty be as O. Let your service to our Roissy Val d'Oise Dominants never waiver, for you are now O.”
He gently caressed her cheek with the back of his hand and smiled.
Blue looked up at him, eyes laden with tears: "I am greatly honored, Maitre René" and she rubbed the ring on her finger.
Maitre Rene spoke with passion, “I give you this token ring, symbol of your new station here with us.
He takes a champagne glass, and he turns to the assembled. He looks above her head at everyone gathered. He raises the glass high…”My famille please welcome O into your midst. Congratulations O Blue Cheers!”
The sounds of glasses clinging and shouts of congratulations reverberated off the stone walls. Such was the happiness at VDO that glorious day.
B L U E ' S S P E E C H
Blue, a faint blush on her cheek, waited for the crowd to settle and began speaking, “Maitres, Maitresse, Masters, Sirs, visitors, and all my beautiful sisters, I am so happy that you could share this experience with me, especially on this 8th Anniversary of Roissy Val d’Oise.” She looks at Maitre René and tries to hold up 12 fingers, “see how nervous I am?"
"I never thought I’d see this day. It was in 2016 that I started my journey to O, as an O Aspirante candidate, and for reasons I will explain farther along, I never knew it would be as hard as it was to finish. I discovered after being accepted as a “candidate,” and given the O Aspirante tag, I really was not an 'O Aspirante;' I had to earn that title.
“That was in late 2017. It took another year to be approved as a real O Aspirante. Every time I thought I was about finished, Xanadu would deliver another stage, another set of requirements, complete with events to create, workshops to present, and assorted role plays, discussions, scenes, and hostings. I was in total awe of how she managed to do all that for her O tag, and pretty much on her own too. It is totally because of Xanadu’s persistence, in fact, that I am up here today. She is amazing-- she did it while doing her job as a leader.
“I finally figured out, as I whined, groaned, and plowed through the path, that it was divided into two major themes: One was service to and presence on the sim, which is similar to the charge presented to Maitres and Maitresses… and the other theme was “physical durability” — a series of required punishment scenes that appeared impossible to achieve because they were measured not only in number but in number PER MONTH! I had to pull Dominants into that dungeon so often I was in a perpetual state of subspace. After all, former Maitre JC had originally written that requirement, and anybody who remembers him knows … you would need a week of aftercare and a month’s supply of skin lotion.” Blue winks at Sana.
“But… just as Xanadu explained in her beautiful recounting at her own O ceremony, she wanted 'to explore a side of herself she had kept hidden.' Well, we had that in common. I came here in early 2015 as a very shy girl, and I hid in the quiet parts of the sim, almost afraid to talk to the dominants. I knew I was submissive and I wished to serve. I just didn’t know how to express it. “Maitre René may not realize it, but he built an early foundation in my education here at Roissy… in a relationship, similar to many that he occasionally undertakes to monitor the newer girls’ growth and help build their confidence. He brought out in me feelings I had never realized I had… and stimulated me to explore the lifestyle, even in RL” She looks over at Maitre René and smiles at him.
“Among the people who deserve my gratitude — and that includes everybody from the Maitres to the mentees — are a few who especially stand out in my logs. Xanadu, of course, who mentored me all the way, Maitre René, for reasons cited above — and for creating this community, Maitresse Derry, who supervised my final O scene and many others, Maitre Thomas, Maitre Dusty, and Maitre Taylor.. and dozens of other Doms, Dommes, and subs who put up with me scene after scene, not to mention Alisha and Lei, who undressed and bound me to the pillars for my final (owwww!) piercing and (scream) branding. And to my Sisters who escorted me on stage, Diamond and Asfridr — my love and gratitude for your support — and courage — as you work to give this sim your best efforts.
“By the way, just so you know, there is a black cat in the House of Samois where the final O scene, from Chapter 13 in the Story of O, occurs. Beware of that black cat ! (Don’t ask.)
"I love you all! I am proud to be here. I hope I can be helpful to all the members of this exciting and courageous sim. Again, many thanks to all the Admins -- it's a hard job they have, to herd all of us cats -- and to Maitre René for providing a safe, sane, and consensual environment for all of us to enjoy. AND LEARN!”
With that, she returned to her cushion with tears of joy in her eyes.
T H E D I S M I S S A L
Maitre Thomas stood smiling in Blue’s direction before turning back to the audience, “My brother, Rene will close this joyous ceremony please?”
Maitre Rene stood with a grin, “It will be a 'little' long dismiss. Before I continue, I want to say, We have all learned a lot about the O path from Blue and those on the O path. So, it will be some WS and meetings so we can improve the path. Everyone feel free to contact me or our admins.
Taking a sip from his hip flask, he continued, “Before my closing speech I want to talk a little about the O ceremony....The O ceremony is created by the O Aspirante whose ceremony it is. Naturally, there is a certain framework that each must work with. Every O Ceremony becomes unique.”
He pauses and smiles, “We've come to an important milestone in the history of Roissy Val d'Oise for today was our second official O Ceremony. Milestones are important achievements for all of us. In a way, this milestone for our community is like reaching the end of the Story of O book, or movie, though we all know that our Historie d'O story doesn't end but continues on and perhaps down a new path now. Perhaps our new story is that Roissy Val d'Oise becomes a community filled with truly trained submissives.”
“That for those whose D/s dynamic is only operative here in virtual life can feel her submissive attitudes transcend sl, and embrace her real life attitudes. That is a wonderful thing. Likewise, Our submissives who come to us from real life will join our community knowing they are entering a small, elite group of other real submissives in virtual, thus gaining a true safe place to open to another aspect of BDSM life. Roissy Val d'Oise can compliment both worlds- It is a win-win for all.
“Congratulations to your attitudes, your authenticity of standing within the soul of real submission and finding your way here to Roissy Val d'Oise.”
Maitre Rene tapped his chin looking to be considering his next message carefully, “Our goal is to perhaps strengthen again some natural boundaries of our BDSM lifestyle here, where the Dominants control the submissives and the submissives serve wholeheartedly, where both roles are clearly re-defined, eliminating what seems to be some blurring of the lines. I know of the issues that have arisen amongst some of our family members recently, though I am not here, trust, I know all that happens here. Why would I not? I own this sim our home.”
“Let me assure you it is my goal to see that each of you are safe and cared for. I see clearly that we must tighten up some things and so I will ensure that all new potential members understand fully that we are a traditional Dominant / submissive community, whose foundation is the Historie d'O and all the ramifications that goes with such a foundation. That as a BDSM community, we endorse punishment, discipline, submissives being just that submissives, and that our Dominants are Dominants and not bullies or abusers, and that any S&M scenes that occur here are done safely, sanely and consensually. “
“Mistakes happen. We cannot undo the past, but I ask each and everyone of you here to remember that while we are not a BDSM rp sim limited to the re-enactment of the Story of O -- how boring our rp would soon get, don't you agree -- we do officially have as our traditional way, a re-enactment of O's arrival at Roissy, which as you all know is the Demoiselle Initiation. For our older members who are suddenly filled with new doubts about what that entails, and for the new members who are now confused, I ask you to simply do one of three things. Re-watch the movie. Re-read the book. Read the copious Demoiselle Initiation web pages at www.roissy-vdo.com. Furthermore, the Demoiselle Initiation is a girl's submission. “
“There is and will not be safe words used in this ceremony, nor topping from the bottom, nor disrespectful remarks made from the submissive to the Dominants, because I expect that every submissive who is brought to the Chateau for initiation is clearly trained and ready and willingly seeking her submission via this initiation ceremony. Each submissive in her debutante role will and has always been challenged, eliciting her full consent to undergo the initiation ceremony as her willing, public submission into the service as a Roissy Val d'Oise Demoiselle, and has always and will continue to undergo a punishment under the discretion of the leading Dominant Supervisor.”
“This is our way - It will not be changed. To do so means we are no longer a Story of O sim. Those who feel they cannot accept this roleplay re-enactment as either a submissive or a Dominant, I might add, are urged to reconsider why they wish to continue their D/s path here at Roissy Val d'Oise. Maitre Rene's piercing eyes move from face to face as he paused, letting his firm message sink in before continuing, “I am proud to offer people of like-mind a virtual reality in which she or he can find solace in being true to their submission or dominance and it is my great hope to continue to provide a BDSM learning and experience environment for those who want to fully embrace our lifestyle in our safe, sane and yes, consensual environment without the drama of attempting a mutiny on our tradition.”
“However, enough of this for now. Blue, this day is about You. Becoming our second official O and a triumphant community milestone. Together let us all walk forward together, paving a new pathway for our community. Thank you all for coming to witness Blue's O Ceremony. Please join us for O's celebration dance.
