Staci’s sister event “Roissy’s Picnic Galore” takes us back in time to the small town feel of picnics and fellowship amongst the local people. The idea came to Staci from her childhood of picnic socials in the community she grew up in, in real life, as well as from the musical, "Oklahoma!".
Baskets Galore, the auction where you create a delectable picnic basket lunch, goes to the highest bidder. If that isn't enough, the person who wins the basket gets to enjoy it with the one who created it.
The event auctioned off 10 picnic baskets, 5 Dominant baskets and 5 Submissive baskets. The rules are simple: only Submissives can bid on the Dominant baskets; only Dominants can bid on the Submissive baskets; you can’t bid on a basket if you supplied one (as you will be engaged with your winner for that luncheon); and no one can win more than one basket.
The baskets were carefully curated and included vintage wines, champagnes and coffee’s; delectable regional cheeses; homemade baked goods and treats and delicious cultural mains including specially cured meats; pheasant breast and Kippers from the port at Alnmouth
Everyone was a winner -- after the auction, the couples went off to enjoy their baskets in the beautiful park like setting while Maitre Dusty dj’d the event with some really great and thoughtful themed music. Those who didn’t get a basket danced under the ancient shady oaks and enjoyed the afternoon together.
With bids starting at L$300, after some fun and playful bidding the event raised 12,250 for community maintenance.
