Babs Sister Graduation

Babs Sister Graduation

March 1 2015

Today was an honor! My first ceremony in which I was asked to be the Roissy Sister to give recommendation for the Demoiselle's acceptance as a Sister. Days like this we never forget.

The following are the special words, others had to say on Babs' behalf, including her own speech.

Congratulations Babs! You did it!

"Honored guests; welcome all to this joyous event," announced Vette. "For today we come together to witness the Graduation of Demoiselle Babs, who will join the exclusive ranks of the Roissy Val d'Oise Sisterhood."

Thus, the ceremony began... .

"Maitre Kurt can you welcome everyone?" she asked.

He stood up and looked around with a smile at the crowd gathered today, and acknowledged Rene, and Vette and turned to Demoiselle Babs and nodded with a big smile. He turned to see the friends gathered today, looked at the many friends who have become like family then back to the kneeling Babs whose accomplishment we celebrated.

"What a joy it is for us of Roissy VDO to gather and celebrate the accomplishments of an outstanding submissive. This is of course a special time for Babs but in a larger sense it is a special time for all of us. Babs is celebrating the culmination of months of hard work, of reflection, of overcoming obstacles and doubts and realizing her potential as a submissive to the community. It is also a time for each of us to reflect on what has brought us here, what keeps us here, what we have accomplished and the things we have yet to accomplish.

"Babs, like most of us, was drawn here by her love of the Story of O and her desire to grow in her submission. Most of us came here to pursue domination or submission and we have done that. But along the way we have gained everlasting friendships, have learned about living with and loving others and being friends to those who we might never have befriended but for this experience.

"Some of these friends challenge us. Some push us and rub us in ways that are hard to take. But we learn and grow and realize that we are on this journey together for a reason. I have said before that VdO is like a rock polishing tumbler that tumbles rocks together with sand and water to polish the stones into bright shiny gems. As we knock against one another, it sometimes is painful, it sometimes is rough, but the process of coming together and working together polishes us.

"What makes Roissy VDO a community is that we intersect with others along the paths we walk. Just as the tumbler requires many rocks to do its work, the path here cannot be walked alone. Submissives of different levels find themselves becoming friends and family. Dominants on all levels become mentors, coaches and friends. The interaction among each other changes each and every member here in some way.

"If all we had were rocks rattling around in the tumbler, we would surely break each other. But the rock tumbler is filled with sand and water to temper the collisions. The sand I compare to forgiveness and the water I compare to love. . Through forgiveness we work through the rough edges between us. Through the love we share we grow ever closer to each other.

"Thank you Rene for generously providing the place we call home." He turns to the audience and continues, "and thank all of you for being here and for all that each of you do to build and polish this community.

"So Babs, we gather to celebrate with you as you kneel here, another shining gem in the Roissy constellation. You endured, you worked hard, and you stayed the course. Congratulations on your becoming a Sister, a title you worked hard for and deserve."

"Thank you, Maitre Kurt. Maître Marcus," asked Vette, "will you please speak in support of your pupil and let us know your recommendation."

Marcus BlueSky (stood and smileed warmly at Babs before turning to face the assembly.

"It was my privilege to lead babs through her final task, and to examine her submission, willingness to serve, and commitment to her path. We began by having some detailed discussions about her path, her limits, likes and dislikes, and her experiences here. It became very clear that babs is very committed to Roissy Val d'Oise....she cares very deeply for our community and specifically for maintaining high levels of decorum and discipline. She also values the people and the relationships she has formed here with high regard.

"As is to be expected, her final task was not an easy one. I pushed her limits to the boundaries of what she could handle. I was impressed with her willingness to submit and give of herself even beyond what she thought possible.

"To me, one of the most important aspects of a submissive is her ability to really feel what is happening in a scene, and to express those feelings and emotions to the Dominant.

"Everyone has a different roleplay style, as it should be--we are all unique creatures and that is what makes it interesting.  It was clear babs was sincerely feeling the scene, which unfolded with the help of two terrific Dominants, Justyn and Damian. Babs genuine expressions of how she was being impacted made our jobs as Dominants easy....even exhilarating and fun as we worked together seamlessly to create our story.

"I believe Bab's will take her role as sister very seriously...helping our community in many ways through serving, mentoring, and helping to guide our younger debs, dems and Dominants as they begin their paths.

"Babs has a deep desire to serve and to submit and she will be a welcome asset to our distinguished family of sisters. As such I am proud to recommend her to join our select band of Sisters of Roissy Val d'Oise.

"Thank you Maître Marcus," said Vette. ""Sister Juliette please add your thoughts on the training of Demoiselle babs as her sister and close friend."

I stood, feeling the skirt of my gown settle against my legs... smiling ... feeling anxious and yet excited, I crossed the short distance to stand before A/all assembled. First, smiling at Babs, I turned, glancing at Vette, "Thank you, Vette."  smiling at her.

I bowed my head to Maitre Rene. "Matire Rene, thank You." ...smiling warmly at him... then turned toward the audience and spoke.

"Welcome esteemed Masters, Dominants, lovely Sisters, extended Family, Community and welcomed Friends and visitors. It is both a great honor and my pleasure to speak on behalf of Bab's achievements and endorse her acceptance into our Roissy Val d'Oise Sisterhood.

"I have not known a time here without there being Babs. For me, Babs has always been here to turn to, and in truth, the more fitting aspect of this situation would have been for me to be kneeling there, and Babs standing where I now do, speaking on my behalf, for Babs is and has always been to me A Sister, a Mentor by the simple virtue of who she is as a woman."

I turned to Babs, gazing upon the strength of her beauty and the fragile vulnerability hidden so well beneath it.

"Babs, you stand as the perfect example of a submissive who represents the integrity of taking one's Samois Vows seriously, and demonstrating to A/all the very nature of what it means to obey.

"You are perhaps one of the few here who have upheld every rule, never faltering in doing so, with the discernment to clearly see when such rules are either bent, ignored, or made an exception for when someone choses to break them.

"I admire the strength of your conviction and have attempted to model myself on your virtues. Most importantly you know how to be a true friend and for that I thank you.

"Though Babs is a strong woman, she is a vulnerable submissive, one whose inner need is to surrender into the loving trust of a Master who weighs the same convictions as she does, those of standing with integrity, stepping outside of one's selfish needs and careless disregard for another's feelings and need, as well as being accountable and reliable to protect and provide true safe space...
[2015/03/01 16:32]  Juliette (surrealdreaming): for this is what Babs truly needs... to know she is in safe, caring hands. For when this is the case, Babs is able to let down her guard and delve into the depths of her submission with full trust.

"I share this insight with our Masters here, at the risk of having my dearest friend become upset with me!"
I glanced at Babs apologetically as she mumbled she was taking notes for later. I smiled at her typical response.

"Babs has fulfilled all her tasks without exception, in both a reliable consistency and expertise that is awe-inspiring. She is an excellent Mentor to other submissives here.

"She gives solid direction, and a willing helping hand to those who need... she listens without judgement... she gives inspiration, and most importantly will give you a smart little "wake up and get over yourself" slap when needed... well at least she did to me." I grined, looked and her, adding, "Another note for later Babs?"

"Probably," she said,  grinning, to which I laughed.

"I could probably go on and on about our Babs... I'm sure it's quite obvious she means something important to me, and when this is the case I never tire of compliments.

"But, sincerely, in my humble opinion, I believe Dominants and Submissives alike can learn something from our Babs if they are willing to get to know her... and I also feel she is a great asset to our home, our family, our community, and that we would be something less than we are now should the day ever come that Babs leaves us.

"Sooooo.... it is my hope that day will never occur; please, let's A/all help ensure it doesn't."

I smiled warmly at her... turned to Maitre Rene... looked to Vette, and said softly, "I hope Y/you will agree with me that Babs is more than Sister quality and warmly welcome her into O/our Sisterhood. Thank Y/you."

I returned quickly to my cushion, resuming my place aware that Babs was looking at me, shaking her head with a silly grin on her face. I laughed softly and was tempted to stick out my tongue, but instead remained quiet.

"Thank you Sister juliette," said Vette. "Maitre Rene, You have heard the recommendations of Maître Marcus and the warm support given to that recommendation of her Sister Juliette. May I invite you now, to confer on Demoiselle babs the title and the ring of Sisterhood?"

Maitre Rene nodded in silence, sitting back in his chair thinking and reflecting on the comments and recommendations heard today before confirming, "I am always taken aback by all the commendations." He then indicated to Samois Supervisor his own confirmation to continue with the proceedings.

"Demoiselle babs," said Vette, "come forward please and kneel before us."

Babs slowly stood and straightened her dress and walked over to Maitre Rene and Vette. She kneeled before them and listened.

Maitre Rene stood, looking at the Demoiselle before him then along the platform. He was recalling all of their supportive words as he often does. He looked towards the gathered community, friends and family feeling very proud to be a part of this wonderful famille of Roissy Val d’ Oise.

Reaching into his pocket searching for the piece of neatly folded but worn linen stationary, where Ihe had taken notes on different occasions along Babs' journey, he smiled, looking toward all the Debutantes and Demoiselles.

"You see submissives I do take notes," he said.

“You see here before you .... a submissive woman, one that has honored her path. She was accepted into the house Of Samois as a Debutante June 28, 2014.

"She progressed and moved on to the time of her Initiation on October 3, 2014 where she served and was opened by Dominates of Chateau Roissy Val D’ Oise and became known as Demoiselle babs.

"Her journey continued as she traveled along wanting to learn and absorb. January 8, 2015 babs presented an amazing workshop, Mentoring Vs. Predator. This sparked the interest of many.

"She continued along next with her well planned Sister Event as she presented, “Carnival Time” on January 31, 2015. It was a lively and festive event with the beautiful voice of CeCi Dover.

"Her Final Task was given to her on February 4, 2015. It was a test of her Submission based upon her strengths and weaknesses. Vette received a notice of recommendation from Marcus on February 16, 2015 that all was completed and she was worthy of Sisterhood.

"Now today she kneels before us march 1, 2015 to receive what she had committed herself too, the giving of her submission, today she will have bestowed upon her the VDO ring and title of Sister.

"You have heard about her journey that brings her here today, her day. Her commitment that has brought her here is a true inspiration for those who still have to complete their journey”

Maitre Rene took Demoiselles Babs’s hand as he dug deep into his pockets searching for the ring before finding the correct one. Wth a little relief and a confident smile he found it. He inspected the gleaming golden ring's sparkle before placing it onto her finger, crouching forward as he spoke softly to her, “Congratulations Babs you will inspire many.”

He straightened feeling so very proud, turned to Samois Supervisor and said, "Please Vette, give our newest Sister her rightful tag and let’s welcome her into sisterhood here at Roissy Val d'Oise."

"Yes Maitre," Vette replied. "Demoiselle babs.....No more will you carry that title........Cast it aside and wear this one that I give you at this time...... Wear the mark of Sisterhood with pride as you go out to a new and exciting future in Roissy Val d'Oise. Always serve with passion and fire. I present to you Sister Babs!

"Sister Babs, please stand and take a moment to speak to all your friends assembled here today."

Babs stood. She looked out at everyone and smiled .

"Thank you all for coming to support me your continued kindness towards me is always a wonder to me. Over the past 7 months Roissy Val d'Oise has been a large part of my life.. Those of you who know me know of the personal illness I have had and how coming into sl and Roissy has kept mind and body together through it.

"I have sat and thought about all the stages I have been through here, The Debutante stage and smiled remembering the Dominants who have taken me through good times, built up a rapport and made logging in a pleasure. Then the Demoiselle Stage where those same Dominants guided me even further and in doing so helped me understand the mean of submission more."

"My path has had its ups and downs I have at times been 'difficult' and came with preconceived ideas which i have since changed as I grew more and experienced more. There is no one right way to roleplay here we all have variations on the theme and that is what makes Roissy the way it is. We get the chance to play out our dreams and fantasies within this sim due to the kindness of Maitre Rene who continues to improve the experience we have every chance he gets. For my part I am grateful. Thank you"

She looked over and smiled at Maitre Rene.

She looked over at Vette.

"Vette who is the submissives guide. I say this with respect because I do not think there is one girl here who at some point has not gone to her for advice on something. That is a hard job for anyone and at times a thankless one but she still logs in and continues to do it, and she managed to get me through my log so to Vette our Samois Supervisor I am grateful - Thank you.

"To the VdO admin staff I thank you for all of the help.. The job is a thankless one at times and we take admin for granted it is easy to forget that you have your own lives but log in to help the rest of us with ours."

She looked over to Maitre Marcus.

"At this point, i would like to extend a special thank you to Maitre Marcus. He listened when I went to him and asked him to help me. Talked with me and got to know me and even though we had never even scened before he agreed to help, enlisting Master Justyn and SIr Damian as his partners in crime so to speak. we worked our way through my finals and it was the best task I had ever done so to those 3 Gentlemen I am very grateful.

"Maitre Justyn now.

"And finally I would like to thank the Roissy Val d'Oise community for making my time here enjoyable. You are all unique and I am pleased to know you all. Thank you."

"Thank you Sister babs," said Vette. "Please take your place for a moment on your cushion near Maître Marcus.  First I would like to congratulate you babs on your new role as a sister and the dedication you have shown in pursuing your path. Our path is far from over as we reach sisterhood, it is a new beginning, and we will always travel and learn as long as we allow our minds to be open and absorbent.

"Sisterhood is a time when a Demoiselle reaches her goal and searches to find a new sense of self and belonging. They find themselves in new positions and roles to help support the sim in a variety of ways. They often struggle with their role as a submissive because of the added tasks and roles, where they often are perceived as "dominating" as they help others. As a Sister we are called upon to stretch ourselves to serve the community as a whole, and not just individually. We help to train, to guide, to mentor, and promote growth within our home, through events, and through support skills such as workshops and mentors we have learned. To nurture others as they find their journey becoming difficult. To teach and offer assistance. It is our duty as a sister of Roissy Val d’ Oise to lead and guide our younger members as they walk the same paths that each of us have completed. We are to lead by example, always remember some judge by the cover of the book not the context inside. The examples and impressions we give are how we are viewed.

"Keep passion for your sisters overflowing as you guide them to avoid any mistakes you might have made, or keep them from making any unnecessary mistakes.

"We begin our path as Debutantes we learn social skills, build trusting relationships and begin to seek within us our submission. We are new and much attentions is given.

"The Demoiselle is perhaps the hardest part of the journey. With it comes many trials and tribulations, much happiness and joy, a new found freedom. Finding our strengths and weaknesses. Many of us hide those weaknesses behind the banner submissive, only to find that we have to embrace them they are a vital part of us, the part that makes us a whole, our inner self.

"I believe to be a true successful submissive of Roissy Val d' Oise you must be... Trustworthy: deserving of trust or confidence; dependable; reliable, it is a moral value, regarded as a virtue. Graceful: characterized by elegance or beauty of form, manner, movement, or speech; elegant.  Loyal: faithful to one's oath or obligations. Humble: marked by meekness or modesty; not arrogant or prideful. Obedient: dutifully complying with the commands or instructions of those in authority. Enduring: The act, quality, or power of withstanding hardship or stress, perseverance, continuing existence.  Patient: enduring without protest or complaint.

"Submissive: According to all definitions a submissive is one that is readily giving in to the command or authority of another; ready to submit to others: giving in or tending to give in to the demands or authority of others; characterized by tendencies to yield to the will or authority of others; of, tending towards, or indicating submission, humility, or servility...and remain submissive no matter how hard that may be.

"Maître Rene, Thank you for all you do and the kindness you have shown to all of us for providing such a wonderful place for us to learn and to role play and our home. Thank you for the soft music for yet another graduation ceremony. I love that we can always count on you." Without you this day would not have been possible. Maître Rene, thank you. Those seem like small words but they definitely are not I assure You. The bigger vision of VdO has always been close to my heart. From the first moments i came here and with each new day, i am always surprised by the Commitment, Intuition, and Guidance i have received.  I am much honored to be a Sister. Never once did i ever come to You that You did not stop and give me Your full attention, Your words offered me guidance and reassurance.

"You made VdO a safe haven for me, and i hope to foster and inspire others to step outside themselves and embrace the community as a whole. You gave us a wonderful, lovely home, i am very Proud of VdO. It is a reflection of many things, but behind all of that is You. Thank You for allowing me to share Your dream, Your vision and Your home. Once more You have touched my soul, and given my wings flight. My spirit soars, and my happiness overflows. You worked with me from my earliest days, stepped aside to let me stumble, and offered a hand to help me regain my footing. I thank You for those moments of indecision, for it was then i grew, i stretched and i rose to stand and walk a straighter path. You are my rock, my foundation, the cornerstone of all i hold near and dear
To all my sisters this includes the present Debutantes, Demoiselles, and Sisters, each of you have been there, and shared so much with me. Tears, anxiety, frustration, cookies, coffee, tea and well a few "Other things". I would like to say Thank you, and remind you that i am always here to listen, to offer and to be a sounding board when you need me as i needed you. Living and loving in a poly community is always fret with terror, excitement, rumors, gossip, glitz and glamour. And VdO is no exception. We have truly some of the most fantastic submissives here that you will ever find anywhere on the Grid.

"I love you all and i thank you for being there for me. I hope i can be there for you when you are in need or just want to spend a lazy afternoon. Do we have those, i don't remember one lately? Chuckles. The dances, the events, the LOGS, the talks, the sharing. It’s all part of being sisters and embracing sisterhood.

"Special thanks to all the Dominates of the sim no matter your rank. Many of you are near and dear to me and I wish to say thank you for the role you each have played in my life and in the lives of the submissives of Samois and for your kind words on many down days.

"I invite each of you to evaluate ourselves and renew our devotion to Roissy Val d’ Oise. Figure out where you fit into the spectrum.

"In closing, you are all invited to play more active roles. If there is something you can offer the sim, please let Maître Rene know what your interests or talents are. Please fill out a notecard and drop in Maître Rene’s red mailbox just outside his office so he can review. We are a family, and we can't do this all ourselves. I am humbled to know each of you. Also please remember our website so you can stay up to date on all the happenings of VDO http://www.roissy-vdo.com/ or http://www.roissy-vdo.com/calendar/

"Master Rene that concludes the ceremony, as the House of Samois is proud to see another of its Demoiselles take her place in the wider community. May I now invite you to close the proceedings witnessed here today?"

Maitre Rene turned to the newest Sister smiling..he examined her gown to see if she was wearing the correct attire, then said, "This is your day Sister Babs." He raised his glass. "Come everyone and raise your glass with me in congratulating and welcoming her into sisterhood here at Roissy Val d'Oise It's time to live up to your success, smile and take a bow !

"Congratulations Sister Babs!

"A time for you to reflect and celebrate on your past, present and future. A time to rejoice and celebrate. Babs, it is with honor to call you a Sister of Roissy Val d’ Oise.  I encourage each of us as members to take a look deep inside ourselves, be the example setters for others as we lead and guide. With the many new approaches to a good start, let us each work together and share ideas. Let us grow as a community as we seek to move forward. My door is always open if you wish to share ideas or just need to talk.

"I thank you for sharing in your time and showing support today as Babs became a sister of Roissy . The closer we bond the stronger we become.

"Please join us in the Chateau Garden for babs Sister Graduation celebration as one of SL’s finest performs “Somewhereintime Jupiter” for a celebration dance."
