The air was a bit chilly, which was understandable, given the season. That didn't stop the crowd from turning out, though. The called greetings to each other as they made their way to their seats where they waited expectantly for the ceremony to begin.
Xanadu's voice finally rose above the chatter as she asked, "Sister Blue, please bring forward our Graduating Demoiselle, Beauti, to her place on the cushion near Maitresse Derry."
Beauti shifted nervously to one foot as Blue helped her gorgeous mentee remove her lacy top and led her to the cushions. Beauti knelt, trying not to glance at the huge crowd.
After waiting for Beauti and Blue to take their places, Xanadu addressed everyone, her voice ringing as the crowd fell silent. "Maitre Thomas, honored guests, welcome all to this joyous event for today as we come together to witness the Graduation of Demoiselle Beauti, who will join the exclusive ranks of the Roissy Val d'Oise Sisterhood. It is with some sadness that we bid farewell to Demoiselle Beauti as she leaves her path here in Samois to rejoin the wider Roissy community. Under the direction of the Dominant Supervisor, Thomas her path will not end, as it is ever evolving as she serves and continues to grow."
"This is a happy occasion which has brought us here today, as I am able to announce. Although the House of Samois loses a Demoiselle today, Roissy Val d'Oise gains a welcomed Sister," Xanadu continued. "As a Sister, she will continue to be actively involved and supportive with those of the House of Samois, as it is our Sisters who are the Mentors to the young and striving Debutantes and Demoiselles."
Xanadu went on to say, "Our VdO submissives are always respectfully welcomed at Samois as it is our home and comfort center should we ever feel this desire or need. The Samois Sisters, Assistants or myself will be available if you ever need a shoulder to lean on or just a friendly chat."
With a smile for the Supervisor, Xanadu said to him, "Maitre Thomas, I respectfully invite you to welcome everyone."

Beauti continued to listen attentively as Maitre Thomas stood and walked a little forward. Resting his arms by his sides, he began, "Esteemed, and loyal Members and Guests, we are are gathered here today for one of our oldest and most beloved traditions at Roissy Val d'Oise." He slipped his hands in his suit pockets and spoke with pride, "The Sister graduation is the cumulation of persistent and hard work. Beauti's graduation means quite a lot to her and to all of our family who watched her grow in her mission as a result of her training here. I can trustfully say, I have lost count how many fine sisters have graduated since we started in Feb 2012. Today, we welcome one more to the tradition and ranks of VDO."
"Today is a very special day for her as she graduates from Demoiselle Beauti to Sister Beauti. It has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?" Maitre Thomas asked, to which Beauti nodded happily. The Maitre went on, "Beauti, like many who have preceded her, has learned much during her path. I know she learned one snowy night in Roissy, while picking out Trees, what my title is."
There was some laughter at this, while Beauti, herself, hid a smile.
"Our sisters are not just 'anyone'. They have graduated from the most complete submissive training path in second life," said Maitre Thomas before adding, "Beauti if you have picked out this nice dark blue for your event, you have my compliments."
Beauti smiled, her soft whisper carrying on the still air, "Thank you, Maitre."
Xanadu resumed, "Yes, Maître Thomas, and thank you for your kind and encouraging words regarding Demoiselle Beauti."

"Sister Venna sends her regrets as it is very late for her and I will read her welcome on behalf of the House of Samois," Xanadu informed, turning to the beauty kneeling to her right. She smiled and nodded encouragingly to her, knowing how nervous she must be feeling.
Turning back, Xanadu spoke equally to equally to those on stage and to the audience, "Maitres, Maitresses, Masters, Mistresses, Sirs, Misses, Sisters, Demoiselles and Debutantes, it is with great pride and honour I stand before you on behalf of The House of Samois to welcome you. We come together on this day to celebrate and honour a submissive who has completed the third phase of her path and arrived at her time of Sister Graduation; a journey that takes us through a roller coaster of emotions, thoughts and feelings that for some have been kept hidden deep within; a journey that brings them to the fulfillment of becoming a Submissive their Masters are proud of. That Submissive today is Beauti!."
Xanadu turned again to the beautiful submissive. "Beauti by name and Beauty by nature, gorgeous through and through. The pride of her Master and of Roissy, Beauti has followed her path adeptly, assisted by her mentor, other Roissy sisters and friends and also the loving hands and arms of Master Wick to push her on, guide her, sooth her and enfold her when the going got tough. Believe me it isnt all plain sailing. She has shown how dedicated she was by standing tall, head held high, shoulders back and working with determination to get to this final point."
"Beauti's sister workshop, 'The Art of Seduction', showed just how much she learned along the way," Xanadu smiled and went on. "Beauti learned how to flirt, pleasure, excite, seduce," here, she laughed softly, "and she was generous enough to pass on her tricks of the trade to those willing to come listen, especially to her sisters who I am sure have since crooked their finger and drawn some wonderful Dominants into their web of flirtation and seduction."
As Beauti gave a soft apology, Xanadu looked out to the sea of smiling faces, all here to celebrate Beauti's special day. "This is a day where we come together to acknowledge her hard work, determination, devotion, loyalty and servitude to our wonderful dominants and to our community. Once more, another Submissive bursts into flower, another blossom joins the Roissy garden of Sisters; a garden that grows ever more beautiful as each submissive matures."
Xanadu turned to speak directly to the beautiful submissive. "Beauti, may you continue to shower us with your grace and beauty, your fun and friendship, and gently help to guide and nurture others who come behind you. Congratulations!"
Turning to look at those on the podium, Xanadu concluded, "Thank you Maitre and esteemed dignitaries for the privilege of being here today."
"Venna's words were very gracious as was her welcome from the House of Samois and her encouraging words to Demoiselle Beauti," Xanadu said, turning with a smile and requesting, "Maitresse Derry, please present your recommendation for Beauti."
R E C O M M E N D A T I O N
Beauti's smile was huge as Maitresse Derry began, "I will be most happy to speak for this wonderful girl. Hello, dear Family, it's so great to see you all here to witness this wonderful event. Originally, I had written that I regretted not being able to be here for Beauti's very special ceremony, and I'm grateful to Master Wick for presenting my speech. But, the heavens cut me a break and I'm so glad of it."
Beauti's relieved, "Whew!" was audible to all.
Maitress Derry spoke in a clear voice, "I recall meeting Beauti very soon after she joined us here. I found her to be delightfully enthusiastic, motivated and anxious to please. Also very complimentary, which always feels nice. We did a collar discussion together. I love those because so often the exchange of information and tossing ideas back and forth typically works out to be a learning experience for all involved. If not with technicalities, then at least with viewpoints and feelings accompanying the use of the collar. This discussion was no different, and Beauti did admit that the ability to mute her was a favorite of her Master's."
There were some smiles and giggles in response to this revelation for which the lovely Maitresse paused before continuing, "Beauti and I did a severe punishment scene, and as I expected, she melted into it from the instant I attached my leash, obeying my commands willingly, even eagerly. She took her punishment well and we enjoyed a sweet aftercare."
"We talk often and keep each other up to date on what's happening with us, and time goes fast," said the Maitresse, "Almost seven months later, it was time for Beauti's final. Those seven months seemed to be a trial for her and we spoke often before her final with me grilling her hard and preparing her, also having her reassure me about what she truly wanted and that she was ready to proceed. Of course, we're here today, so you know her answer. We had quite a time in the Chateau that day. Beauti was stripped from the moment we entered, on her knees unless we were walking or I had her bound to something. She gave the answers I wanted to hear when I quizzed her about rules here, even between blows from my flogger."
Beauti squirmed in remembrance and Maitresse Derry smiled, catching it from the corner of her eye.
"She submitted," said Maitresse Derry, "in her lovely manner to other dominants who were kind enough to be there that day to participate, responding to them in the same willing and submissive manner as she had to me. And after all that, she served us drinks, naked and dripping with her ass glowing like Rudolph's nose."
Maitresse Derry paused again for the soft chuckles from the audience before concluding, "I congratulate you, Beauti. You have earned this day with hard work and a great attitude. I know you will be a great help to upcoming dominants, to the whole of Roissy, and to your Master. Big hugs will be forthcoming."
As Beauti grinned and Maitresse Derry returned to her seat, Xanadu said, "Thank you, Maitresse Derry, for your wonderful recommendation of advancement for our Beauti. Sister Blue, please present your words of encouragement and your thoughts regarding your mentee, Beauti."

Blue glanced over at her incredible mentee with a smile, then fluffed her gown. "Thank you, Maitre, Maitresse, and all the dignitaries and wonderful guests at this graduation. I am honored to speak about Beauti."`
Beauti almost seemed to glow as Blue continued, "I’m really happy to be talking about Beauti today because, well, everything about Beauti makes me happy. You can’t even talk with her without breaking into a big smile. I mean, REALLY! Her name, for example, is happy. 'Beauti.' Even in my first talk with her, when she was just beginning, she was full of spirit and loaded with personality. We joked about both being faeries and having pointy ears when we started in SL, and she cracked me up by calling our stories 'fairy tales.'"
As Beauti giggled, Blue went on to say, "I got to meet her Master Wick when he was also just starting, and he warned me that she was a firecracker. And as things moved along, with Master Wick at her side, Beauti seemed to sail along without needing much in the way of mentoring."
"I did have a scare early on," said Blue, "Beauti was considering changing over to become a Dominant. I was disappointed, but I told her to be whatever made her happy. Eventually she decided to stay as a sub, and luckily for us here at Roissy, she is, and has been, one of our best submissives ever!"
"As we all know, Beauti has a great sense of humor," Blue continued, "Whenever she’s at a dance, the conversation is not only lively -- but often hilarious. I find myself doubling over with laughter way too often with her. I’m sure when she’s with Wick, there’s never a dull moment."
"Finally, a word about Beauti’s character," Blue went on to explain, "I recently hosted a fetish fashion show here at Roissy, and Beauti was one of the models. Unfortunately, one model had an obligation and failed to show up, leaving me and my script in an embarrassing void. Beauti immediately recognized my awkward situation. She found a costume in her inventory that worked; she changed clothes – and substituted for the missing model so I didn’t have to miss a beat.
With Beauti, helping out cheerfully is second nature. I really appreciated the way she instantly sized up my plight and jumped in without my asking so the fashion show continued seamlessly."
Blue paused and shared a teary look with Beauti before concluding, "To me, that’s the spirit of our Roissy Val d’Oise family, and I am proud to watch my "beauti" ful, sexy mentee, Beauti Sorbet, earn her Sister tag today. Congratulations Beauti!"
Blowing her mentee a kiss, Blue returned to her cushion. Beauti bit her lip, the tears streaming now.
T H E C O N F E R M E N T
Xanadu smiled at Blue and resumed, "Thank you for you remarks regarding Demoiselle Beauti. Maitre Thomas, you have heard the recommendations of Maitresse Derry, supported by her mentoring Sister Blue. I respectfully invite you to confer to Demoiselle Beauti the title and the ring of our Sisterhood."
Maitre Thomas sat back in his chair, rubbing his beard, thinking and reflecting on the comments and recommendations he had heard before confirming. He smiled, "In this special time of the year, it is particularly heart warming to hear the wonderful recommendations. You may proceed, Xanadu."
At Xanadu's prompting, Beauti walked proudly, then knelt before Maitre Thomas, who leaned forward, looking at the Demoiselle before him, and then along the platform, noting all of the gathered community, friends and family and feeling very proud to be a part of this wonderful famille of Roissy Val d’ Oise.
The Maitre reached into his pocket, searching for the piece of neatly folded but worn linen stationary, where I had taken notes on different occasions along Beauti's journey. Stopping, he asked her, "Beauti, what is my title as a final requirement to pass?"
Beauti bit her lip, racking her brain, then murmered, "Maitre Thomas." Her eyes grew wide and she looked a little panicky, flicking her eyes around as some of the audience started to chuckle.
Maitre Thomas grinned and said, "Very good, I didnt want to bring the ancient VDO Snow torture back into play."
Beauti raised an eyebrow, turning an interested smile on Maitre Thomas, who coughed, "You are not supposed to like it."
Blue shivered, looked down and murmured, "Oh...shucks."
Retrieving the note paper, Maitre Thomas read, "You see here before you a submissive woman, one that has honored her path. She was accepted into the House of Samois as a Debutante on December 29, 2017. She then progressed and moved on to the time of her Initiation on April 25th, where she served and was opened by Dominants of Chateau Roissy Val D’ Oise and became known as Demoiselle Beauti. Her journey continued as she traveled along, wanting to learn and absorb. On May 16th, Beauti presented an awesome workshop titled 'Seduction' which sparked the interest of many. She continued next with her well planned Sister Event as she presented 'One Night Stand' on September 12th. Her Final task was a test of her Submission based upon her strengths and weaknesses. The Adjointe de Samois, Xanadu received a notice of recommendation from Maitresse Derry that all was completed and she was worthy of Sisterhood."
"Now, today, she kneels before us on December 15, 2018, to receive what she had committed herself too, the giving of her submission. Today, she will have bestowed upon her the VDO ring and title of Sister." As he spoke, Maitre Thomas took Demoiselle Beauti’s hand and dug deep into his pockets searching for the ring. Finding and placing it onto Demoiselle Beauti’s finger, he crouched forward and spoke softly to her, “Congratulations, Beauti, you will inspire many.”
Beauti looked at the ring, then at Maitre Thomas, whispering, "Thank you, Maitre."
Sitting back and looking so very proud, Maitre Thomas turned to Xanadu, "Please, Xanadu, give our newest Sister her rightful tag and let’s welcome her into our Sisterhood here at Roissy Val d'Oise"
Hearing Maitre Thomas' instruction, Xanadu stood and smiled to the kneeling Demoiselle Beauti, then looked around towards those assembled, drawing the attention of members and guests before speaking, "To become a Sister of Roissy Val d’ Oise, a submissive has to have many qualities. Some are as follows: To be Trustworthy, Graceful, Loyal, Humble, Obedient, Enduring, Patient, and remain submissive no matter how hard that may be. You have shown these qualities. Demoiselle Beauti, no more will you carry that title. Cast it aside and wear this one that I give you at this time. Wear the emblem of Sisterhood with pride as you go out to a new and exciting future in Roissy Val d'Oise. I remind you to always serve with passion and fire, and always from your heart, Sister Beauti."
As Xanadu paused to let the new title resonate amongst those assembled, Beauti gulped, trying to see through the tears.
"Congratulations Sister Beauti and welcome to our Honored Roissy Val d'Oise Sisterhood!" Xanadu's voice rang out in the first of the many congratulations that came from those present.
As the shouts and applause died down, Xanadu smiled, "Sister Beauti, please stand and take a moment to speak to all your family friends and guests assembled here today."
S I S T E R ' S S P E E C H
Beauti stood on shaky legs and turned to face her family. Tearfully, she looked out at every one, smiling radiantly. She paused, then said, "You all know I can be unusually verbose. I will, for once, keep this mercifully brief. There were a lot of people that helped me along the way. It's not easy to name them all, but there were some extra special ones. I'd like to thank Alyss, Asfridr, Mistress Petra, and Maitresse Derry for their ongoing support and suggestions. Of course, my thanks to my mentor, Blue, for her patience and guidance. Our journey as mentor/mentee is at an end, but I am thankful for your continued friendship.
I want to thank Xana for her EXTREME patience with this stubborn and obstinate sub! If I had a dollar for every time she had to correct my attire or tell me 'No, you can NOT wear a (fill in the blank),' I could retire early! Thanks to MAITRE Thomas for his assistance with questions related to my Courtisane path. I would seriously not be here without Master Wick. Thank you SO MUCH for nagging, um, encouraging me to keep going! I would not be standing here without you. I don't think theres enough words in the Oxford English Dictionary to thank him properly.
And THANK YOU to Maitre Rene for providing this beautiful home for my AMAZING FAMILY! Thank you to everyone for helping me along this not so linear path we follow."
Looking out at her true family, beaming, Beauti concluded, "Now, lets go party! YEAH!"
S U M M A T I O N
Xanadu stood and turned to Beauti, chuckling, "Thank you for your words. I must say, I think this was the shortest speech yet in my time here at Roissy. Even though I know each was written from your heart and with sincerity. I now ask that you please take your place before Maitresses Derry again. This day was a vision for you and Master Wick from the very day you became a Debutante, and here you are almost 1 year from that date."
Speaking to everyone, Xanadue said, "Beauti's path travels, just like many before her, has had its twists and turns and ups and downs. Switch, I recall from a discussion with her, with its different meanings, left me wondering if she was seriously thinking of a different path. Many come here not sure of their core. Are they submissive or do they have Dominant qualities? In Beauti's case, she stepped back, re-evaluated herself. Her decision was made to remain where she felt her core place was. Sister Beauti has shown her submissive excellence as you heard from Maitresse Derry's recommendation."
"An existential part of becoming a Sister is the time spent actively in our community, making a commitment to work for the betterment and having the desire to help others grow. We are fortunate to have this amazing community which Maitre Rene has offered to us to safely learn the ins and out of BDSM," Xanadue continued, smiling to first Blue, Beauti's mentor, and then to those in the audience. "I will say that our Mentoring Sisters have a large part of this as well. Through their guidance and support they enhance the path for their mentees while gently assisting as needed. Sisters are under the direction of the Senior Dominant Supervisor Maitre Thomas while continuing to assist others in the community on their paths. And for this, I sincerely thank you all, for your continued support to the House of Samois."
"I was present at Beauti's Workshop on 'Seduction' and also for her well planned 'One Night Stand' Event. Needless to say both were enjoyed." Xanadu's voice rang out clearly. "As told to us with Maitresse Derry's very favorable recommendation, today, Beauti has been elevated to the status of an honored Roissy Vdo Sister on her own merits."
"Maitre Thomas," Xanadu turned to face him, "Once again, and through you to Maitre Rene, we thank you for your generosity and the gift given us daily: this wonderful community where we are free to learn and discover our inner selves safely."
"First and primarily to our Dominants," Xanadu said, turning back to face the audience, "A sincere thank you to y'all for being here to encourage and help us, and for your patience as we learn. To our Submissives, we personally thank each of you for your continual support. Please remember, we never have to pursue anything here by ourselves for we are a team. Each of you are special to me, and above all, very important to the success of VdO. Please continue to show your commitment and dedication as you proudly wear your titles. Assist as you can, but above all be supportive of this awesome community. In closing, please remember, hold high the principals of Roissy ValD'Oise that Maitre Rene has provided. We have the Best of the Best here, and the positive support we offer each other only insures our strength, proving once again 'We Are Family'."
"Maitre Thomas, that concludes the graduation ceremony. The House of Samois is proud to see another of its Demoiselles taking her place in the wider Roissy community under your direction." Xanadu concluded, "I respectfully invite you to please close the proceedings witnessed by those present today."

Beauti perked up as Maitre Thomas stood and walked over to the chilled Champagne, lifting the bottle and smiling with relief. "As I ordered, the Laurent-Perrier Brut."
He raised his glass and toasted, "Come everyone and raise your glass with me in congratulating and welcoming Beauti into Sisterhood here at Roissy Val d'Oise. Congratulations, Beauti! Enjoy your day, since the real work starts afterwards!"
"Bring it on!" Beauti grinned as the congratulations rang out once more.
Maitre Thomas chuckled and after a long sip of the aged Brut, called an end to the ceremony. "I thank you for sharing in your time and showing support today as Beauti became a Sister of VdO. What a great way to continue the holiday season for our family. Please join us in the Ballroom for Sister Beauti's Graduation party."
