The third floor was filled with lights, warm voices, and happy smiles as those in attendance made their way about the room. The breadth of artist SolKing’s work on display, was a delight for the senses. Imagination, desire, lust and need, it felt as if every portrait stared right into your soul. A key theme in this exhibit as ‘Photography with Soul’ was the byline, and oh so fitting. You wouldn’t think it’d only been a year or so since SolKing started taking pictures, his work with portraits and landscapes shows the joy he finds in capturing the essence, often that candid moment snapped in time that speaks to the heart, and showcases their soul.
I had the opportunity to speak with the artist before his showcase and was delighted by his warm casual nature and the candid shots he took while we conversed. It showed the talent he portrays in his exhibit wonderfully - to find such beauty, so easily, and be able to express it so simply.
