The Roissy community came together for a worthy cause on Monday, November 26, 2018.  For over 12 hours, singers and dee-jays took the stage in the Roissy Val d'Oise Ballroom in hour long sets, donating their time and their talents to raise money for Katy's Fund.  

The daughter of Miss ScorpianRose, Kaitlyn has a congenital heart defect and Hypoplastic Left heart syndrome.  She had developed a new condition called  pulmonary steno sis. A vein to her left lung had completely scarred shut and she needed to travel to Boston to save her lung. All monies raised during the event were put towards getting Katy to Boston to see a specialist for this much needed surgery.

This reporter was able to speak with Miss ScorpianRose who had the following comment:

"We raised a whopping 1,042 USD.  I love how every one came together to make this even as successful as it was. I appreciate all the hard work that everyone  put into the fund raiser and the time that all who participated donated as well as all the items that were donated for the raffle. It was a day full of great singing, good friends, fun and laughter."

Roissy's own Gillian did all the organizing on very short notice, setting up timeslots for performers and hosts as well as taking care of much of the publicizing. Without her, none of this would have been possible.  She had this to say:

"I was astounded at the generosity and love of the Roissy Community. Rose was in tears and excitedly told me about half-way through that they now had enough money to rent a car to drive down to Boston. Thank you to all who donated and supported the fund raiser."

It was a beautiful thing to see so many people come together and give from the heart for such a worthy cause. Together, we were able to raise over $1042.00 USD for Katy's Fund!  Thank you to each of the performers and their hosts listed here, and a HUGE thank you to everyone who came, danced, and donated!
