What a wonderful day it is.  The sky was bright and the scene solemn but festive in attire.   Maitre Thomas greeted all and begane with the usual discussion of the tasks and overcoming obstacles to achieve the status of Maitre of Roissy VdO.

Several offered their comments, all complimentary, of Opie's efforts in the community and support of his fellow dominants and the submissive girls who serve them.

Xanadu, although not in attendance, was able to brighten the comments " Maitre Opie   ....  What a pleasure to  see finally I get to  call you Maitre ..   after all this time ..  i sincerely  wish you happiness in your promotion  as you hold high  your obligations  to Roissy".  Thank you Xanadu and we all miss your presence here in the community.

Opie then rose to address those gathered introducing the speakers.   Dusty was the first to speak reminiscing of the beginning of their relationship back in 2015 when Opie began his path.

M E N T O R ‘ S   S P E E C H

Where do I begin ...my comments will be but echoes of the wonderful praise each of you has heaped upon this great dominant and now Maitre Opie Fallen!  For someone that has become such an integral part of our wonderful community. His advancement to Maitre just seems such a natural and well-deserved transition and certainly a boon to our great group!

Opie has always been eager to be a part of our amazing family, supporting the events we have here and ready to embrace the many aspects of the D/s lifestyle to become part of the community in every way he could.

 Opie knocked out his Dom Intern path in record time then tackled the Dom path with energy and focus. I will let Opie tell you all about those interesting experiences.  Opie and I have enjoyed many a day and night, conferring on many topics, holding open discussions on various D/s & BDSM subjects and of course having a lot of fun along the way.

A special shout-out to Opie's previous mentors, Derry Auer and JBEristic, who guided and trained him well. Opie continued to give his all whenever possible.

The major characteristics that impress me most about Opie is his HONESTY, INTEGRITY and PERSEVERANCE! I have never doubted the sincerity of this man in his quest to complete the training and do it the right way without fail

"It has indeed been a pleasure and a privilege to know and work with Opie as both his mentor and his enduring friendship.  It is such a rewarding experience to see him being promoted to Maitre and I look forward to his future involvement and support of the values we cherish here at Roissy Val d'Oise.  Congratulations, Opie! Well-done, my friend!"

F I N A L   S C E N E   S I S T E R

What can I say about this wonderfully Dominant man?  He has been the most admirable of men.  A friend, confidant, protector and the best listener in SL!.  Having never assisted in a Maitre Final Scene before  this was a great privilege and an amazing challenge".

He knows what he wants from a submissive and what he expects. So the honor has been mind blowing.  We talked at length about what he wanted, where it would happen, how it would happen.  etc! etc! etc"!

We had fashion parades and pose ball trials and discussions about everything imaginable!.  In the end we made a united front.

So to the big day... Nails bitten down to my elbows. Hoping the SL and RL gods would behave...grins.... Kisses his knuckles again.  However! It was he who was  fashionably late!

Maitre Opie decided we would do the scene of O arriving for the first time at the Chateau and then being put through her paces as a very new trainee submissive.   I couldnt believe how quickly the time passed, there was so much pleasure...oh! and pain.... chuckles, but 3 hours later we were saying goodnight but not before we went over the plan for Day 2....

Naked, leashed, blindfolded, and properly shown my place as a submissive in training. Maitre took me on a very imaginative  adventure over two days,  that were filled with pain and pleasure in all forms and a myriad of other sensations, far too many to relate and far too exciting for some ears here today.  Chuckles

It was an amazing trip that took me through several layers of intensity, focus, fear, the unknown, as well as physical and emotional experiences. A wondrous journey built upon Trust, respect, mutual love and friendship for each other, something that has built up over almost 6 years of friendship.

Thank you Maitre Opie for letting me share so much with you on your journey from Master to Maitre  it has been a pleasure.

T H E   C O N F I R M E N T

Turns to Maitre Thomas....Master Opie has worked long and hard to complete his Maitre Log. I believe he truly deserves the honour of being called Maitre.

M A S T E R   S P E E C H

First, I want to say thank you to Rene, to Thomas, and to the administrative staff.  Without you all giving tireless effort and spending time behind the curtain, well, we might not be gathered here to celebrate this occasion together.

 As I have reflected back on my journey, there are so many memories and so many people that have come to mind who have played an integral part of my journey.  To each person here today I will say, it doesn't matter how insignificant you think you are or how little you contribute to someone's journey,  your small investment may very well be that one thing that gives them breath on a day when they feel they cannot find it.

Sometime in 2015, I was invited to visit Roissy by a friend who at the time was on the submissive path. She gave me a tour and I walked around a little.  She had to step away for RL and I found myself sitting in the gazebo that was across from the church visiting with JB and Xana.`

I remember like it was just yesterday.  I asked questions, listened as they both shared with me about Roissy, and her purpose and vision.  I was surprised right away at how welcomed I felt and even though it was my first visit, it was though I were already a part of the sim.  Their welcoming attitude and patience with me was one of the big factors of my continuing to visit and eventually making this my home.

After submitting the application, of course like many of you I did not know what to expect when I was told I would be contacted for an "interview".  I kind of wondered if this was a job I was getting myself into.....chuckles....if you know me, you know I tend to be a work a holic and goodness I didn't need another job.

I received the invitation for my interview and met in the chateau with Dusty.  I found him to be friendly and cordial.  We spoke for a few minutes on a miriad of topics, not just D/s, but life in general.  It was more a feeling of him getting to know me than of him trying to decide if I might fit in here or be wanted.

I was thankful to be accepted and set onto my journey.  I was not sure if I was allowed or not but at the time, and he being one of the only people I knew here, I requested that JB be set as my mentor.  He was quite patient with me and helped give me a great foundation to leap from as my journey continued.

The Intern Path for me was a whirlwind journey.  So many things to do and wanting to get them all done the first day......not realistic of course.....but I was excited to be apart of something that I could feel would be amazing.  I suppose you might say I blew through the Intern Path and was ready to be turned loose as a Dominant.....whatever that meant at the time!

Many who helped me those first fast days are no longer here, which when I reflect saddens me.  There have been some amazing people who have been a part of Roissy and some amazing folks who still call this home!

As my Dominant Path was kicking into gear, that over reaching and every nagging thing called RL attacked and I ended up taking a sabbatical.  I remember coming back after nearly a year and thinking "wow, where is everyone and who are all these new people!?!"  A lot changed during the time I was away.  But the spirit of Roissy did not.  As I began to pick up on my path and journey again, it took a while to get going.

RL being what it was, I lost connection with my Mentor.  During that time, and understand, it was not a reflection on JB at all, I approached Thomas and asked for a new Mentor.  I spoke to Derry who joined my journey and was like a breath of fresh air as I begin to work.  She, as JB before her, were a presence in my path.  Checking in with me, keeping me focused, advising at a distance and yet still close.

I broke the record for Dominant to Master Path by years....laughs.....  I know some of you guys thought I was just parked there in Dominant land!  But I persevered and made it.  This is a piece of advice that I will and do give to everyone I have a chance to.  Yes sometimes the journey both here and in life itself can be long, it can be hard, it can be difficult, but never give up, never surrender, never stop pressing forward until you attain your dreams, your goals!  It is worth it more than you know and the harder you fight for it, often times the more you appreciate it!

After graduating to Master, I think the ink wasn't dry on my tag yet and I had already approached Thomas about moving onto the Maitre Path.  I'll admit there was some internal grumbling when I was told there was a waiting period before applying.

I began counting the days down and I think on exactly day 91 I approached Thomas again and inquired about becoming a Maitre........yes, I can be impatient at times maybe a little!

I will say, over the last almost 2 years, as I have journeyed this Path, I have probably learned more than my entire time before as an Intern, Dominant, or on my Master Path.  I have learned and grown as a Dominant, my confidence, knowledge and experience has become deeper.  I think more than anything, I have grown internally as a person.  I am not the same person I was when I began this journey.

I learned how important it is to wisely choose words, actions, and how simple things we do affect others.  As a mentor, I have learned I think as much from my mentees as I have imparted into them. I have realized that being a mentor, being a Master, being a Dominant here in Roissy is not about me or about what I can gain from this experience, but I have learned that giving back is indeed the most fulfilling thing any of us can do.  Selflessly giving is the most satisfying thing any of us can do.  That has probably been the greatest thing I have learned on the Maitre Path.

I wish I could stand here today and tell you I have had a flawless journey.  I have not.  I have made a few mistakes along the way.  Actually the list in thomas office is more like a 6 year olds christmas list to Santa!  I hope that I have learned from the mistakes I've made and it is reflective in the change

The applause was thunderous a few tipsy from the champagne as Thomas only serves the best.  Thanks to our provider Maitre Rene for this amazing community to love and grow as individuals and family.
