Blue:   So HaddLie, what attracted you to the subject of burlesque for your sister event?

HaddLie:   For as long as I can remember I have always been drawn to Burlesque.  The seduction and the tease paired with the beauty and sensuality of the dance.   So I was finally given an opportunity to produce my own and throw in a lot of costumes that I made.  I took it and rode with with it.  I picked songs that said something to me.  There are many Burlesque songs, but with any dance they have to speak to you.

Blue:  Tell us a little about the dances themselves. How you selected the music, and dancer stories, if any.

HaddLie:  The opening was a big one…..”You Can Leave Your Hat On” from the movie “9 1/2 Weeks.”  I think it really set the stage for what people would get to see.  Sir Rick and Sir Robert got to play along with the ladies and they were a great view too.

From there we were to “I’m A Good Girl Now,” well aren't we all?  The blocks on the sides of the stage were the first initial of each girl's name in the show.   I am guessing no one  figured that out....grins.

Other songs were:  “Love Is a Bitch,” a very sensual chair dance, :Show Me How You Burlesque,” “Nasty Naughty Girl.” that featured our own Quin as the Fan Dancer,  “Feeling Good” by Michael Buble....He has a great voice and did a great job on that song.

A special song I added was “Bound,”  from the movie “Burlesque.”  I asked around and got pictures of all the ladies who were already Bound to their owners.  I thought it was a sweet song and I got to include many of our members into the song.

The last song was “This Is Me,” from “The Greatest Showman.”  This song was about acceptance.  Accepting ourselves and others with all of flaws and scars.  We dressed in clothes that represented who we are as people....not what represents our avatars.  Probably one of my favorite songs.

Blue:  Thank you, HaddLie— and congratulations on a wonderful sister event!
