It was as though springtime had blossomed in the Roissy Chateau Garden.  Q, led by her mentor, arrived in a flurry of peach.  Fabric draped around her torso; the hem of her skirt curled around slender legs as she took her place kneeling before the community.   

Xanadu rose from her seat standing tall, proud to present another graduate to the role of Sister.  "Our VdO submissives are always welcomed at Samois .. as it is our home and comfort center .. should they ever feel this desire or need for time to their selves."   She offered the floor to Maitre Thomas for the welcoming remarks. 

W E L C O M I N G   D O M I N A N T

"Loyal Members and Guests,  we are gathered here today for one of our oldest and most treasured traditions at Roissy Val d'Oise.  The sister graduation is the cumulation of persistent and hard work with many tasks both fun and arduous.   Q's, graduation means quite a lot to her and to all of our family who watched her grow as a result of her training here.

"Our sisters have earned the right to be proud of their accomplishments here. They have also earned the right to help our sim in additional ways now that they have completed the journey to VDO Sister.

"Our path has been refined by many years of lessons learned to make it the successful learning path we know today. Our sisters are from the best school in this world of submissive training."

F O R   S A M O I S   H O U S E

"Maitres, Masters, Maitresses, Misses, Sirs, Sisters and family members.  It is with the greatest of pride and pleasure that I welcome you All here today, to join us in congratulating our newest Sister on behalf of the House of Samois."

Gillian continued, "Q is reserved and quiet, a loyal lady who is compassionate, a genuine friend to many at Roissy.  Today marks the end of her debutante and demoiselle journey, the start of her role as sister at Roissy.  As sister she will be a role model for others following in her footsteps, a guide to those who come to us who are lost or discovering their submission.  A sister who will present workshops, talk and share her experiences with her mentees and others who need guidance."

"Walk with grace and confidence on your new path as sister enjoy the new challenges and lessons it will give you."

R E C O M M E N D A T I O N

Master Chicago stood to offer his recommendation based on Q's Sistre final.  

"You've done a stellar job in handling the surprise curveballs I've thrown you, followed my instructions meticulously in everything I've ordered you to do, and behaved in the manner exemplary of a submissive sister."

His humor tempered the serious nature of this moment.  Noting Q's accomplishment, achieved with her strength and grace. "Not only should it be ingrained in a girl's core, but submission must be nurtured and become an art. It is also very much a skill, and as such, 'good' submissives tend to show a willingness to learn, grow, serve, comply and understand while they are on the path, or as Rene referred to last week as 'A journey without end.'"

M E N T O R ‘ S   S P E E C H

"The  journey of almost 2 years concludes today!" said Sefa.  "I recall the first time I met Quadrature -- my thoughts were of seeing a vision from a different time, the fashion reminding me of Jackie O. A refined woman , elegantly attired , demure and reserved in her countenance. The array of gloves Q wears -- Ooohhh , who knew they can be so seductive?   Q handled her initiation as I thought she would, with quiet reserve and tenacity, thus beginning the next part her path.  All the while continuing to attend the necessary workshops and help out where needed.

"After a brief  hiatus, Q returned with renewed verve to complete her Demoiselle requirements.  Her Sister Workshop 'Bridging the distance in BDSM Relationships,' was very well received and attended: a 'Full House!' It was interesting and intriguing, with a bevy of wise tips, Q also shared a very deeply personal and heartfelt experience about her own BDSM relationship.

"I see before me a polished and confident woman preparing for her next journey on her D/s Path.   Q , I’m am so proud of you! I am honoured to be here for this milestone moment! Remember the quote by Stevie Nicks -- 'Don’t be a Lady, be a Legend!'”

T H E  C O N F E R M E N T

Thomas smiles to the group and says, "I am always taken aback by all the commendations," indicates to Xanadu his own confirmation to continue with the proceedings with a nod.

Q took her place kneeling before Maitre Thomas. 

 “You see here before you .... a submissive woman,  one that has honored her path. She was accepted into the House of Samois on May 31, 2019 as Debutante Q.

"She then progressed and moved on to the time of her Initiation on March 6, 2020 , where she served and was opened by Dominants of Chateau  Roissy Val D’ Oise and became known as Demoiselle Q.

"Her journey continued as she traveled along wanting to learn and absorb. On  September 27th she presented an awesome workshop titled "Bridging the D/stance in BDSM Relationships" She continued next with her well planned "Show Me How You Burlesque!" for her Sister Event  presented on November 8th.

"Her Final task was a test of her Submission based upon her strengths and weaknesses. The Adjointe de Samois Xanadu then received a notice from Chicago of his favorable recommendation and that all was completed verifying  she was worthy of Sisterhood.

"Now today she kneels before us on  January 24th 2021, to receive what she had committed herself too, the giving of her submission, today she will have bestowed upon her the VDO sister ring and title of Sister.

"You have heard about her journey and her commitment that has brought her today.  Here is a true inspiration for those who still have to complete their journey."

He placed the ring on Q's finger.  “Congratulations Que you will inspire many.”  Maitre Thomas asked Xanadu to assign Q's appropriate title, welcoming her into the Sisterhood of VdO.

S I S T E R ' S   S P E E C H

"This is a day I really never thought would happen. I won't name names, but I know there are some of you out there who thought the same!

"For one reason, every now and again someone comments on the time I took pursuing my Debutante path, at almost 10 months, and how very proper I seemed.

"The part of this they miss, though, is that my Debutante log was actually completed in 2-3 weeks. I then secret-squirreled it safely away, continuing to serve, stand in the landing zone ready to greet or tour, and be present at events daily."

"I knew there was much more in this introductory stage, for me, than a checklist of tasks to complete.  I also knew, to quote our Debutante workshop, that I was "not yet ready to unleash that wild, delicious passion" within myself.

"This is because I came to Roissy after wandering the quiet corners of SL for many years, devastated by a series of losses and mostly keeping to a small band of very close friends.

"Some of whom I am honored to have here today ...I needed to rebuild connection, consistency, stability, and joy in my SL; to find my deeply submissive side again; and needed time to trust, because we all know how transient people in virtual places can be.

"It turns out landing here was nothing short of providence, as I have found all of this and more at Roissy Val d’Oise.

"The ‘more’ I found has done no less than help me to integrate myself, integrate my diverse roles, and to be comfortable and confident in having those roles united -- mostly as a RL and now online submissive, but also as a professional and submissive, as friend and lover, as learner and teacher, as transparent and yet diplomatic.

"I slowly allowed my guard to fall and have only recently realized how much I have grown as a submissive and as a person, now, looking back. I know I am not unique in this. I know too I have further to go.

"I would like to say a very special thank you to Maitre Chicago for helping me to experience and objectively see this growth. I am honored that he agreed to take me on, and more so to be his first Sister Final as a Maitre.

"Deb Q and then-Dom-Sir Chicago had a special fun and punny relationship from the start, and to go through these limit-pushing scenes with someone I know well and adore, and who knows me maybe too well (!), was unexpectedly fortuitous timing and absolutely ideal -- in short, a truly wonderful experience.

"Words fail, so I hope these suffice: Thank you so much, Maitre. ♥

"If I may take a moment and say to our newer members and/or to those questioning, please ... Don’t sQuander. This. Opportunity.   Like most things, it really is as special as you make it, and in turn, you ...  make it special for others.

"I have been disappointed by the many I have met who began with such promise and then slipped away, and I have been impressed by those who have committed and invested, enriching and profoundly deepening everyone’s experience here."

Xanadu looks to those in the audience .. "I remind yall that our Mentoring Dominants and Sisters presence here in the community is needed .. as they spend time with their mentees . Our Mentors provide a positive example .. while gently assisting through guidance and support .. as well as helping others when asked."

"I was present at Q's " Workshop. For those of yall who attended her workshop and for those who didnt .. maybe you should plan to attend her next presentation" smiles over to her. I also attended her  'Show Me How You Burlesque!' Sister Event .. needless to say both were enjoyed.

"Once graduated .. Sisters continue to assist others in our community on their paths .. as well as the usual touring hosting and presentation of various workshops. For this .. I sincerely thank yall .. Your continued support to the House of Samois in the variety of things you do is indeed needed."

"First and primarily to our Dominants .. "Please continue to show your commitment dedication and support as you proudly wear your title with pride and honor. Please assist as you can and uphold your responsibilities to our community. Whether it be touring or simply providing information to others about VdO .. above all .. be physically supportive ."

"Maitre Thomas .. Once again .. Through you to Maitre Rene .. We thank you for your generosity and the gift given us daily .. this wonderful community .. where we are free to learn and discover our inner selves safely."

"Many of our Members do things for the community thats sometimes is not visual to others. Id like to say thank you to a few.. Sana for setting up for the graduations .. Julie for decorating the Ballroom .. Sadie for setting the music for our various ceremonies and also Blue for her work on the website .. which allows people get a peek as to what Roissy Vdo is about.

"Please think about what you would like to do in our community to help make Roissy even better .. both our graduated Dominants and Submissives are needed . Speak to either Maitre Rene Maitre Thomas or myself. Please know .. YALL.. are what makes Roissy work.
