The artistic point between copulation and flirtatious romance could not have been farther to the left of that bell curve Thursday morning.  Dex Howley's sensually grainy  and handsomely lit black and white photography not only framed the embrace of lovers and their culmination of sex; it inspected the organs dead-on and in many cases highlighted them in color.

Is it art? Of course it is.  The talented master's deft compositions and striking use of light and shadow pry into our souls with their unusual interpretations of how we enjoy erotica.  The talk at the Opening Exhibit, which featured champagne and pastries, included Dex's comment about the difference between pornography and art, "I think it is all about perspective... porn is about the viewer... the camera doesn't make a statement.. where erotic art is about the artist making a statement... a perspective that resonates more than the simple subject matter."

Or, as Dusty Caldera joked, "The eye is the window to my perverted soul."
