There were two running threads through the wonderful meet and greet of the lovely artist Morgan Monroe.  One was the disbelief that this could be her first exhibit, though she assured us all it was, having had a couple of pieces included in large shows, but never her own show - and the other was the love of all things Texan as the crowds circulated about, amazed at the use of color and light.  It was a softer side of eroticism and affection that shone in her collected works and as one patron mentioned, there was far more that she had at hand.

Morgan’s admittance that she had ‘quite the time deciding which to bring’ makes it all the more intriguing, and a must-see to visit her Flickr page at www.flickr.com/photos/morganmonroe1/ .  She’s been here in world since 2007, though only started posting her work to Flickr in 2016 after she developed a friendship with someone she met at a shopping event.  It was he who taught her, she says, and talked her into joining Flickr and posting her photos.  Our thanks go out to this nameless man for the wealth of artistry he helped inspire.  Come visit the second floor gallery and share in Morgan’s amazing work!
